It can be tough to find vegan options let alone tasty ones. The chili cheese fries were so so good with a generous portion at that. I would have taken a picture but it was over once I took the first bite.

The girls each chose 4 books and we left shortly after that. The checkout process was super simple too.
The next part, wasn’t great.
After we jumped in the car, we drove around back to the donation area. There was a small lot, a pop up tent and a few people working. I parked and hopped out with 2 bags of books we were going to donate. I walked up to the table and the man working there told me they were not taking donations… that it was after 2pm. It was 2:10, ok. However, the tent was out. The doors were open. People were working and taking books in off of the tables. Others were picking up boxes of books off the ground. And the SIGN THAT SAID “DONATIONS” WAS STILL ON THE STREET.
I asked If I could drop off since they were all still there, still picking up books and still moving them inside. He said “no”. I said, but your sign is still there saying that you are taking donations… Are you telling me you don’t want my books? He said no. So, I took my books back to the car and left with a bad taste in my mouth and a bad impression of this seemingly lovely service.
Too bad.

This barnes and nobles store is designed mostly to sell johns hopkins merch like hoodies, hat, lanyard, balnket, etc. Those merches are great! I like them.
It is a two story building. The lower floor carries mostly the merch and the upper floor has textbooks and some books.
It also has starbucks inside. Nice study area.
Mostly quiet enough to do some homework. Clean and organized.
I recommend this place if you are visiting Johns Hopkins homewood neighborhood or trying to purchase johns hopkins merch.
You can get a discount if you have barnes and nobles membership card.
Price ranges a lot. Hoodies are around 50 bucks. I got knitted sweater for like 80 bucks. I can’t buy all of it but some are not too terrible in terms of pricing.

Kaleb makes very good latte with very latte art. There are lots of books to enjoy while relaxing to enjoy your beverage. The BLT sandwich was also very delicious!
Everything bagel was good, toasted well! There were fennel seeds on the bagel which definitely threw us for a loop. Don’t let that prevent you from ordering.

Everyone’s Place offers a large selection of African-American books and products including scents, clothing, jewelry, hats, cards and so much more. The book stock covers a wide selection of interesting topics.The store also offers a nice selection of t-shirts and pocketbooks, too.
Employees were friendly, courteous and very helpful. This center is on my revisit list.

They have a variety of books, from fiction to nonfiction as well as occult and some science fiction. I would come back again for Tolkein’s series.
They also sell lots of goods and some cute miniature or figurines from Japan.
I ordered 2 books from here that were never sent. After a huge go around and trying for 3 days to reach someone I managed to get my order canceled. Now today my card was charged for the same amount… not sure what games they’re playing or if they thought I wouldn’t notice but this is blatant fraud.
Don’t waste your money or time, find another place to buy from. Trust me it’ll save you loads of stress and money.

When we entered the bookstore, a few fellow readers were at the billing desk, talking about ‘Braiding Sweetgrass’ and the bookseller had an additional, detailed recommendation for a similar, older, (and what sounded like a) beautiful book, ‘A Sand County Almanac’ by Aldo Leopold. He placed it in context and told its story so well, I was inspired to get the book (they didn’t have it in stock, so elsewhere). I really appreciate such bibliophilic conversations and was particularly happy I was witness to this one.
The only danger here is getting lost in the stacks once you enter. Definitely one of the nicest bookstores I’ve been to in the US!
