Great bookstore in Baltimore - with a solid selection of all different genres of books: political, fiction, theatre - an especially large section dedicated to Russia studies, cookbooks, stories, and ornaments - and also children’s books, teen books, postcards, vinyl records, etc…
They even have a small selection of current new release fiction.
Prices are very good. I got five books for under $30.
The proprietor is friendly and helpful.
Worth the visit while you’re in town.

I’m not big on leaving reviews unless I really love a place (or have a really bad experience but that’s rare) I’ve been living here for a year now and this place honestly has been somewhere I constantly go at least once a week (or more than I’d admit) and one thing that’s so great is that there’s always a new hidden gem. Books I’ve read on my kindle but wanted a copy of, books that are so expensive at bigger stores, and other classic books I want to read again from when I was younger (and accidentally got rid of). What’s great is that I’ve brought over 3 big bags of books and gotten credit to use in the store, and I love supporting this place. I try to send my book friends over there whenever I do get a chance to bring it up. This will always be a place that I will visit, even if I move away but find myself visiting Baltimore city, first stop is book escape

The quintessential book store. It's rare to find bookstores anymore that allow you to meander from room to room and get lost in exploring genre after genre. I could easily spend a couple hours here then enjoy my selections on the bench out front....oh...I actually did!

Awesome cozy little bookstore in fed hill. Locally owned with great selection of genres, vinyls, vintage cards and more. Street parking all around as well as a small paid lot around the corner
