If you want to buy johns hopkins merch, then recommend this place.
This barnes and nobles store is designed mostly to sell johns hopkins merch like hoodies, hat, lanyard, balnket, etc. Those merches are great! I like them.
It is a two story building. The lower floor carries mostly the merch and the upper floor has textbooks and some books.
It also has starbucks inside. Nice study area.
Mostly quiet enough to do some homework. Clean and organized.
I recommend this place if you are visiting Johns Hopkins homewood neighborhood or trying to purchase johns hopkins merch.
You can get a discount if you have barnes and nobles membership card.
Price ranges a lot. Hoodies are around 50 bucks. I got knitted sweater for like 80 bucks. I can't buy all of it but some are not too terrible in terms of pricing.

It's not a large selection. Not a super helpful staff. Clean and large space. Mainly for use of John's Hopkins students with the bookstore taking the second level. Found some good reads but didn't have the best experience. The gentlemen who checked us out was not helpful with using our rewards card, and after paying mentioned I could look up my rewards number

Although this is a petite B&N, the selection is pretty amazing. I can't speak too much on the university aspect of the bookstore, but I did notice that the textbooks were not on display and a sign stated you need to ask for a particular book. Hopefully just a stocking issue.

As an Alum, I love love love this shop!! Although I do a lot of shopping online for books at this point, I will definitely stop here for all things Hopkins related in terms of clothing. I wear my gear proudly and they have such a vast selection, in my opinion, for women, men, unisex, kids and even babies! They have also added Hopkins Mom/Dad apparel as well, which is awesome. The staff are always pleasant and there is a Starbucks cafe on site. One note, however: you can only return Barnes and Noble merchandise to this location, that is purchased at this location due to it being an academic store because they don’t have the same point of sale system. I just learned that today. Oh, and they do have books Happy shopping!
