I recently had an appalling experience at the Four Seasons Baltimore that has completely destroyed my trust in this establishment. I was stuck in their elevator for over an hour while trying to visit and make an appointment at the spa for my wife’s birthday. What should have been a relaxing and celebratory day turned into a nightmare.

After finally being rescued, management approached us to offer their contact information and promised follow-up. At the time, I was hopeful that this would be handled with the level of care and professionalism one would expect from a luxury brand. Unfortunately, I was wrong. I have since emailed the manager twice with no response. The complete disregard for my situation and lack of accountability is unacceptable.

As someone who has been a loyal customer of this Four Seasons location—frequently dining at their restaurants and utilizing other services—I am deeply disappointed by their failure to address this incident. Not only did this experience ruin my wife’s birthday, but their indifference in the aftermath has made it clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority.

This level of lack of care is disgraceful for a brand that claims to pride itself on luxury and exceptional service. If they can’t handle a major issue like this, it’s hard to trust them with anything. If they can’t even have the decency to respond to a customer who endured such a distressing experience on their property, it’s hard to believe they care at all about their guests.

I’d like to commend the entire staff at the Four Seasons Baltimore for their outstanding service. From the valet team and front desk to room service, management, and housekeeping, everyone went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. My wife and I celebrated her birthday and our 4th wedding anniversary, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional.

From the moment we made our reservation to check-in and check-out, we received impeccable customer service. It felt as though we were the only guests in the hotel—the staff catered to our every need with such attention and care.

The room, the views, and the services were all top-notch! We’re already looking forward to our next stay, and hopefully, we’ll get to experience the Executive Suite next time. If you’re ever in the Baltimore area, do yourself a favor and book a stay at the Four Seasons. You will not be disappointed!

Job well done, and thank you for making our celebration so special!

Yep it’s a hotel. Bed was rectangular with sheets and a comforter. Bathroom had sink, toilet, shower, and tub all with hot and cold water. Towels were white and nearly folded. Lobby has a front desk with nice people who happily took my credit card and quickly gave me a room key. Elevator with sufficient buttons that all worked as expected. Light switch in the room was kinda hard to find but given that I was pretty drunk that could have been my issue. Parking was a bit confusing (no I was not drunk at that stage of this operation) but the QR payment system worked well enough. Overall, if you need a place to pass out for any length of time this is a viable option for this area.

Quick, friendly check-in and check-out. Spotless throughout, including the cleanest parking garage I’ve ever seen. The room was quiet and very comfortable. The bathroom was enormous. Thoughtful touches throughout the room. Breakfast at Maximon was very good.

Four Seasons Baltimore was outstanding and is absolutely worth the booking if you are in the area! We stayed one night for the Red Sox/Orioles game (as a staycation since we live in the DC area) and everything about our stay was perfect. We arrived at 3:30 and our room wasn’t ready but the manager invited us for appetizers and drinks while the room was finished. Food and beverage in the bar were great. We stayed in an executive suite (1624) and the room was awesome with a personal note from the staff and a nice bottle of wine. Probably one of the most comfortable bed/pillow combinations we’ve ever had (in over 100 countries). 80 minute massage was spot-on and highly recommended. We had Sunday Brunch and it also did not disappoint. From our experience, you can always count on Four Seasons to provide the best accommodations and customer service in the hotel industry. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We had a party in the Great Ballroom. The room was nice, the staff were good, and the food was decent.

The only complaint was that the signage was a bit lacking; they have a bunch of buildings/venues on the resort grounds, and it wasn’t totally clear where we needed to go.

This was the fourth year we celebrated our Company Holiday Party at Turf Valley. The venue, the food and the service have always been great. They make it easy and my employees love it. The management is attentive and the food and bar staff were excellent. We already scheduled our next event.

100% recommend this fine establishment. Stayed here earlier this year, though prompted to review given recent events. My room was clean, and the service was great. In addition, the Mangione family seems to be of the highest morals. We need more families like them in America!

We booked this place to have a nice room to go to after dinner at Tersiguel in Ellicott City. Check in was easy, staff friendly, the live music in the lobby bar was nice. We saw that the conference room was very booked with many holiday parties. The room was nice, well furnished, and clean. Comfortable bed.
However, we heard a dog barking for over an hour and after 9pm I called the front desk. They sent security to that room and the barking stopped. Then the room above us had constant bangs, thuds, sliding noises, and running back and forth for the next two hours. It sounded like a wrestling match. I went back to the front desk and they moved us to another room. At first, that room was okay with just hearing the neighbor room’s conversation. Then at 11:30 pm, a huge party started at the room directly behind the bed. That lasted until 3:00 am. Laying in bed listening to drunks singing Can You Take Me Higher by Creed at 2:00 a.m. was not okay for a room that was $250 a night.

I’ve stayed at loud hotels. We had a hotel in the middle of Glasgow that was surrounded by soccer fan hoards in the streets. That hotel was easier to sleep in than this one. We got better sleep at $80 a night hotel the night before in Delaware.

Incredibly thin walls. Ear plugs did nothing. If you are a light sleeper, do not bother booking. We will not be back.

Hotel is beautiful, but if you are in a connecting room and you are not connected with the people on the other side be prepared to hear their conversations, television, etc. and they yours as there appears to be zero sound proofing between rooms. Can you hear them open the mini fridge – yes. You literally will hear everything even if they are not overly noisy the walls are paper thin. You will also hear everything from the parking lot.

This is our first time staying at the Pendry hotel but won’t be our last. I will say the only complaint I have is that they don’t have their own parking garage or area here. They do have valet but and some street parking but we opted to pay for a parking garage about 900ft away from the hotel for the weekend. From the moment we walked in the staff was friendly and courteous. We definitely felt like we were valued here. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are great and have all that You need within. You have to request if you want a refrigerator in your room and the staff will have one placed there for you. The hotel has a lounge within with live music as well from time to time. Drinks offered are great as well. We got a room overlooking the water. No complaints. Definitely a place to check out if you haven’t already.

Second time staying here. Phenomenal rooms and location, but it pains me to admit the service is absolutely terrible. If you just want a great room, you won’t be disappointed, but if you want a true 5-star experience, check in to the Four Seasons. The value for your dollar at the Sagamore Pendry isn’t there.

Our most recent stay was the night of our wedding, so we got the Harborview Suite that comes with a separate soaking bathtub. I called to request bubble bath to the room and the front desk told me to walk to the 7-11 because they don’t have anymore left. To make matters worse, the Pendry doesn’t offer in-room couples massages or even have a spa on site. Because of that, we booked a couples massage at The Ivy Hotel. Lastly, I ordered 3 boxes of roses to the hotel & they refused to make a design in the room. PS: I just wanted roses in the shape of a heart on the bed. For the price of a suite here, you don’t get much outside of the room itself. Hate to admit it, but The Sagamore Pendry is nothing but a 3-4 star hotel with 5-star pricing.

This hotel is ALMOST where it needs to be considered luxury. Compared to other hotels in Baltimore, this is one of the best hotels to consider. The vibe of the hotel is timeless, sophisticated frat life. Our dog felt welcomed. The staff was attentive, and our bed was clean and comfy. The fitness center was just enough. The pool was closed during the dates I stayed there. The main restaurant was delicious! A few items lacked attention to detail, but overall, I enjoyed my stay!

Just returned from an overnight at the Pendry to celebrate my husband’s birthday. While the property is gorgeous, I was disappointed with the guest experience. I really wanted the evening to be special so I purchased a holiday welcome package that included in room treats/mugs and a cocktail credit for the Cannon room. When we checked in the amenities were not present. Eventually we were told that the mugs had yet to arrive and that the Cannon room was booked for a private function. We were told the mugs could be shipped to us (who wants that) and the credit applied to the main bar. We decided to make the best of it and enjoy drinks at the main bar. Upon checkout, the credit was not applied. This was frustrating because I would not have had drinks there if I didn’t have a credit. I did eventually ask for and receive a refund for the amenity on the bill, but this could have been handled so much better. At bare minimum, the front desk should actually follow through on what was promised. I expect much more from a high end property.

My wife and I chose to stay at the Sagamore Pendry for our wedding weekend. While we live nearby, we selected the property because we knew it would be a memorable place for us to stay.

From the moment we arrived, we were pampered to a level neither of us have encountered in our many years in Baltimore.

The front desk staff provided us with a complimentary upgrade us from the harbor balcony suite we booked, into a much bigger suite, which was the biggest and nicest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in (counting multiple 5-star properties across multiple continents).

Our upgraded suite (like a presidential suite) was so big, it had a wrap-around patio that our wedding photographer used to take some stunning pictures of my wife overlooking the harbor before our first look photos in Fells Point.

Everything about our stay was beyond exceptional. From the valet staff, to the maintenance team who fixed a very minor issue with our Smart TV in our bedroom, to the restaurant and in-room dining staff who were prompt and courteous with our order, to the bartender who gave us a complimentary cocktail one evening after our wedding… staying here was something my wife and I will always remember, and recommend to anyone who wants to experience the best of Baltimore!

My son and I recently stayed at the Indigo for almost a week! We travelled to Baltimore to go and see a Ravens game and spend time in the city! We miss everything about Baltimore, already! The staff at Indigo as well as at Poet’s and the parking staff, are all lovely people. We ended up having to extend our stay a few days due to weather but we sure didn’t mind! The hotel is great and in a great location. We felt very safe at all times!!! We are coming back, and miss you all:)

We really enjoyed our stay at the Indigo Hotel. Parking is directly across the street. The rooms are quite spacious and clean with large windows allowing natural sunlight into the room when desired! The staff were welcoming and informative suggesting transportation to the Lyric Theatre. One highlight was the restaurant! We had breakfast (including free with you stay) and lunch and a few craft cocktails!||

This is a great hotel! The location is perfect for exploring Baltimore’s art, history, and culture. The hotel is in a large historic building with a spacious lobby that includes an all day restaurant, bar/lounge with regular live jazz, and additional area for art openings, etc as well as a large “grab and go” shop with a wide variety of snacks and beverages. The rooms are large and comfortably furnished, well maintained and lit; our room had a mini fridge, sink, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker.|Their greatest asset, though, is their doorman, Carlton (yes that is really his name!) who seemed always around, full of excellent suggestions and able to help with any problem or question. Carlton is a real treasure and made our stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this hotel!

The location of the hotel is around many historical buildings. The hotel is a short walk to shops and restaurants. The area is pretty quiet at night and not so much noise, which is much appreciated when wanting to rest. The staff was wonderful checking in. Unfortunately, i
I can’t remember the young man’s name, but I never been asked if there were special accommodations I would like to have for a room, and my request was to not be near an elevator if possible. He took his time and looked for that very room for me, and that meant a lot to me. The morning desk staff were great also, a quick checkout and quick instructions on how to get out of the parking garage. This was my second stay at this hotel, and I have to say this will be my hotel of choice when visiting Baltimore.

The neighborhood is awesome. Great restaurants, bars and overall welcoming.
The hotel itself…. Well…. Friendly front desk. Spacious room. Noisy air-conditioning in room. It was one of the rooms connecting with another. The noise insulation between the rooms is non existent. Morning one we were woken up at 6am because of neighbor rooms alarm clock. The room wasn’t occupied but luckily the clock died after round about 20 minutes. Maybe the room cleaning should put this on the checklist to disable any alarm clocks. I’m usually staying with bigger chains and expect new towels and the bed to be me made daily. Didn’t happen here. Breakfast choice is very limited, and the coffee was not drinkable because of coffee grounds both mornings. We went to the bakery across the street.

I stayed here over a year ago. My husband and I were getting away and wanted to stay in a nicely located hotel for a good price. This looked like a great deal, but being that it was winter, in an old building, we could not control the heater, so I couldn’t fall asleep. I tried opening the window and it didn’t stay open and the noise from the street was loud. Additionally, being a “dog friendly” hotel, we tried to fall asleep and each time a dog walked by with their owners, it’s like the whole floor (dogs) perceived another and it would be a choir of dog barks at a hot 11pm. Needless to say, we didn’t stay the length of our reservation, we quit early and their policy was no refunds at that point. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone in good conscience.

So I am giving this hotel a 2 star rating overall. Front desk staff was very friendly so they get 5 stars, but we felt the price was a little high for what you get. Most Choice hotels have a mini fridge in the room, this didn’t. The floors were the snap together laminate planks that were very worn and damaged with spaces between the pieces and clearly damaged from improper cleaning.
This was an anniversary get away and we chose the historic building and paid a higher price but felt like for what we paid it should be better kept.
AC worked very well but there’s only a very thin sheet and cover on the bed. We didn’t have much of an issue with noise except for hearing a few doors.
Breakfast was very limited compared to what we are used to at the cheaper Choice brand hotels. We wouldn’t recommend for any kind of romantic getaway.

Front desk staff were super friendly, warm and welcoming. We used to live in Fells Point so we know the neighborhood well and how loud it can get at night. We stayed during fleet week, it was HOT outside but the hotel was nice and cool, I love the old charm it has preserved. Yes the layout is weird, yes the floors are uneven, but that’s part of Fells. We got a very last minute booking and the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend to others.

This past summer, hubby and I celebrated his birthday with alfresco dining in the Ivy-walled courtyard at The Ivy Hotel.

I’m back again at The Ivy Hotel on a Sunday when the restaurant is typically closed to experience the elegance of Afternoon Tea.

Our tea expert, Emma, took the time to provide detailed information about the loose teas available and the savory bites. We amplified our tea experience with a bottle of Rose. Thank you, Emma, for your attention to detail; we appreciate your knowledge.

Typically, only the Ivy Hotel guests can access all the beautiful rooms inside the historic mansion.

Our group of four was treated to a tour of all the main rooms and an unoccupied guest room. All I can say is how fabulous the astonishing mansion character is maintained.

The Ivy Hotel recently received Michelin’s two key recognitions for its Excellence in dining, accommodations, and Spa.

Finally:
1. for reservations, contact the hotel directly or utilize the Open Table App
2. Cost $75 per person; gratuity and valet parking included in the $75
3. Alcohol: additional cost per glass or bottle

Exceeds all expectations! I have lived down the street from The Ivy for years and was intimidated to come in because it looked so nice. I’m so glad I finally did. My husband gifted us a night here for my birthday and it was absolutely incredible. The service was beyond and you truly feel like you’re their most important guest. We then decided to host our wedding here and it was excellent as well. Very pleasant to work with their team and plan, and they were able to be flexible with potentially bad weather. Between our families we had about six rooms and everyone raved about their experiences. We’re blessed to have such a special place in Baltimore!

Stayed here for a night to celebrate our wedding anniversary and was upgraded to a suite on the first floor with its own private terrace. Built in 1889, it has the charm and history that the more modern hotels (like Four Seasons) does not have. With only 18 rooms/suites, it also felt less crowded, which was a nice touch.||Recommend looking into this place if you’re not in need of a pool or a harbor view. We’re locals so none of that was important. What was important was an intimate setting, good restaurant and personal attention and it delivered.

I stayed at the Ivy for five days for a wedding. Everything administrative about my stay was an act of Congress. It took me over two months to reserve my room, and I had to provide my credit card information multiple times. The current reservation process is ineffective and should be revamped. The first day I arrived at the hotel, they were not expecting me because of an internal error. However, everyone I interacted with was kind despite the initial hiccup. Kudos to Calvin, Nick, and Tara. These three individuals were kind throughout my trip and went above and beyond. Due to an internal error, I could not stay in the room I booked the first night. Another concierge told me that my room wouldn’t be available and that I would have to hang out in the communal areas. For the price point of this hotel, this was very frustrating as I had several wedding events to attend. In addition, my card was charged multiple times throughout my stay despite paying a 50% deposit two months before I arrived and the remaining balance the day I arrived. Anytime I inquired about the charges, I was met with “I don’t know” or “Maybe it’s a test charge.” Again, for this hotel’s price point, I do not expect to incur erroneous charges that cannot be explained. By the end of my trip, I had over $2k worth of unknown charges on my card. They eventually fell off, but no one ever explained the charges. I also asked to speak to a manager during my stay and was told Terry (the person I’ve been dealing with) was the only person who could help me. While I understand that this is a boutique hotel and, as a result, you may not have as many levers to pull in instances where things don’t go as planned compared to a franchise or more prominent hotel, for the amount of inconveniences I experienced, a bottle of wine that is served to everyone on an unlimited basis is not sufficient. ||Outside of the administrative issues I experienced, the staff at the hotel was genuinely amazing. They are some of the most thoughtful/proactive individuals I have ever encountered. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the restaurant staff!! The food and service were exceptional, from the hostess to the servers and the chef!
