The nurse-practitioner and the front-desk staff were all super nice people who showed they love what they do. The nurse-practitioner took great care of me, knew how to help me, and we were on our way home in less than 45 minutes.
Highly recommended!
Thomas Eskey

Friendly, fast, and efficient care when you’re not feeling like at your best. All of the staff are nice. I’ve always received knowledgeable providers every time I’ve had to visit. The facility is always clean. With a peaceful atmosphere. By far, my favorite Urgent Care facility.
Danelle Anderson

A++++ service! I appreciate the pleasant attitudes of all the people that work there. This urgent care location always fits in my daughter and I when we are sick and can not get an appointment with our primary care physicians. I have to give a special thanks to the doctor that saw me when I came in this most recent time! She was sooooo helpful- almost like she was related to me.
Gina Queen

I would NOT recommend. I live close by which is why I went but I would never go back. I made an appointment the day before and still waited two hours to be seen. I don’t think this was a triage issue as only one person was called back from the waiting room during that entire time. Finally the doctor saw me and told me to wait for my discharge papers. After a half hour of waiting I asked the front desk who told me to continue waiting. After 45 MORE minutes I asked again and was told by the front desk that the Dr. did in fact discharge me over an hour ago and forgot to tell me.
Laura Sabatino

This was my first time visiting this location and they exceeded my expectations. We were walk-ins, so yes we did have to wait a bit. However, once we got to the back the woman who took our vitals and the doctor were both absolutely amazing. They treated me and my daughter both with care, respect and courtesy, considering the situation. They both were very pleasant, I did not feel rushed and they both made me and my daughter feel very comfortable. I would love to go into detail, but thank you both for the way you handled our visit! Best bedside manner I have received in a while!!!!

This was my third experience within a little over a year and each time everything went so smooth. The staff there is awesome. My appt was for 7:30 am and I had to be there by 6:30 am. The young lady that unlocked the and checked me was so welcoming to me, my son, and my sister. My doctor, Dr.Newman, was already there and stopped to say good morning as the nurse, a very sweet woman took my vitals, explained all the consents, while making me feel comfortable the entire time. The anesthesiologist was also a comforting man with a relaxed and knowledgeable demeanor. The entire experience at Chesapeake Urology is a place I would recommend to everyone. Thank you to the doctors and staff at Chesapeake Urology for your services.

I have always had a good experience at Chesapeake urology! The staff is wonderful and I never have to wait long for my appointment. Dr. Segal is a great doctor and takes time to address the issues I’m having.
Samuel Seaton

Dr. Lowentritt was fantastic. He patiently listened to my situation and questions and then gave clear answers and went through my options. He was thorough and careful and made a somewhat frightening situation much better understood.
Christopher Myers

Extravagant extremely professionalism. Beautiful, clean, and warm. The atmosphere was as if I was entering a five star Hotel. Sufficient check in and phenomenal check out! The wait wasn’t 5 minutes. I had check in online not even a 2 minute wait! This office is 100 % its lit! Keep up the fantastic work.
Veronica James

Staff at Chesapeake Urology nice and efficient. Dr Dunne took her time to explain everything and the course we should take. Very pleased.
Dr Johnson has been my urologist for several years and has a non rushed demeanor. Appreciate her full explanations and inclusion in care.

Great communication through text and email in regard to my appointment. Easy registration through app. Staff is friendly and pleasant. Dr. Drescher is the best; very caring, thorough, and concerned about my health. He answers all of my questions and doesn’t rush through. My first appointment in October, I was very sick and Dr. Drescher treated me with compassion. Today, after his care (surgery), I feel great! Thank you, Dr. Drescher!
Darla Theiss

I felt very comfortable speaking to my doctor the other and they wished me well with my upcoming journey!! I think my doctor should see many more patients because they took the time to listen to my concerns and they have excellent bedside manners.
Stephen M Wolfe

PA Diane Young was great but the practice overall is hugely difficult to communicate with. The bigger issue is that they double-billed me for a visit, charging me for a consultation with Dr Filderman even though I never booked/met/spoke with him (I know that a PA will commonly consult with a physician, but my understanding is that legally they cannot bill for two separate visits/services when only one took place, and certainly I never agreed to it). Their billing team refused to correct it, so now I will have to report this as fraudulent billing to my insurance provider and the state’s attorney. For less privileged patients it could be devastating to receive surprise bills; it’s unethical.
Kelsey Paquin

Professional from start to finish, every employee is commendable to this organization! Thank you to everyone who made this journey seamless, the office clerks, nursing and lab staff, and Dr Drescher. My husband was in good hands!
Barbara Winfield

My wait time was extremely pleasant, i was able to get in and out, and all my needs were satisfied. I was not rushed seeing the doctor

I regret starting care with Dr Gordon’s office, very unreliable, cannot get the PA Mary to call back or to call in prescriptions, in a timely fashion. It takes several calls to get test results or get any issue resolved , – I complained to Dr Gordon once about not being able to reach anyone or get a call back and he didn’t care and did not do anything- he is also a very odd Dr – I suffered for 2 days because one of the medical assistants put my super pubic tubing in to far , I had to make a 40 minute trip back to have it fixed – I would not recommend this office – no accountability, very hard to get messages, test results and prescriptions called in- find another dr
Linda Saeidi

One of the kindest physicians out there. He truly cares about his patients and listens. His schedule can run behind because of the demand on his skills as well as the fact that he spends as much time as each patient needs. Do yourself a favor and don’t give up based on the staff or wait times because this guy is worth it!
Katherine Waters

This is one of the worst doctors office I’ve ever seen. Very hard to get ahold of. Was told to get a blood test and everything was good but one thing. No follow up. Had a follow up scheduled they decided to just get rid of it and without acknowledging me. Very unprofessional practice.

Not thrilled with the follow through from this department after my husbands radical prostectomy surgery. Dr Allan may know how to do surgery but no follow up. Expected the patient to remove his own catheter at home on the 9 th day after surgery. We requested it to be done at the office and asked to have a VERY oozy incision examined. It was soaking through bandages and shirt. They clearly didn’t know how to bandage it. By the time we got home it soaked through his shirt. The very next day e ended up back in Er for severe pain. Sited many hours for an answer and finally sent home with meds for bladder spasms Incision was still oozing through large pads and clothes. Thank goodness for an RN friend that suggested steri strips. Also no follow through visit with surgeon, my husband was just told to go see his GP. She did not do the surgery. Very disappointed!
Gretta Benson

Great service after prostate biopsy. I was scared at first, but doctors and several nurses made me feel right at home. Some great serious minded doctors and nurses. They said they were going to get me well and they did. I thank them all.
Karl Crosby

I was refereed here, and it was a horrible experience. I will say that the Sonogram tech was great, very professional. I made my appointment after my scan, and was told by the Urologist that surgery would not help, he did not want to do the surgery, no call a freind, nothing; while the Specialist went back and forth I was approached by other members of the staff asking me about Fertility, and other things that I did not really care about, what a mess. I actually beloved this dude for several years, then I was referred by my new PCP to a specialty group, and the Dr was like, this is Urology 101, let’s get it sorted, Surgery, two weeks of low activity, all better. If you have some plague go to John’s Hopkins, otherwise you are better Somewhere else. Funny or not, when my Specialist asked for the old Sonogram, they did not have it, lost, never to be found. I give one star as the Sonogram tech was kind, and the receptionist called me by my first name.
Jake Williams

Met with Dr. Partin and it was the worst medical experience my husband and I have ever had. Saw him for a second opinion and while my husband was getting his blood pressure checked the nurse said” did you hear that your Gleason score is now 9, not 7?” She not Dr. Partin told us. When we finally sat down with him he couldn’t answer most of our questions saying he wasn’t an oncologist. Why wasn’t another medical professional with him who could answer our questions. Both my husband and I have spent years in health care and without question it was an awful experience that lacked basic professionalism and bed side manner.
Nancy Pincombe Docksai

Horrible. I had a doctor here, he left and no one told me I was being transferred to another doctor. But that’s not the main issue. I gave one of their labs a kidney stone to analyze. Four months later, there were no results so I contacted the doctor. They told me the results must not be ready and that I should contact the lab myself. After talking to the lab they told me that they had the results for months. Apparently the results were then sent over and I got a message saying the results were in a linked document. Document was never attached and since my doctor had left I had no one to ask. Finally called the office (after weeks of not hearing back via mychart) and was informed I had to call Quest to tell them to fax the results to the doctor. I really don’t think any of this is a patient’s responsibility. The new doctor I was transferred to was unhelpful and unsympathetic. I’ve been going to urologists for 10 years and have seen some all over the country. This is absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had with a urology department.

Dr. Karen Boyle is the absolute best! Back in 2016 my husband had a vasectomy, after immediate regret we found Dr. Boyle who did his reversal. We had 2 children before the vasectomy and 1 child immediately following the reversal. This year we are welcoming another baby and it’s all thanks to Dr. Boyle. I can never thank her enough for what she did for us. 🙂

Firstly, 5-Stars is NOT enough stars to credit this truly amazingly gifted doctor! Dr.Boyle (Karen Boyle) from Chesapeake Urology is without a doubt the best and experienced professional in her field! Just a brief background, I am patient from Pennsylvania who had a previous failed vasectomy reversal performed in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. After careful planning with my wife, we began an intense and thorough evaluations process of finding another doctor to perform and fix my initial failed reversal.
After learning of Dr. Boyle’s extensive in-depth training, experience with reversals and male infertility, It was immediately clear to us that she was our only choice in helping us restore our hope. Additionally, during our initial phone consultation, Dr. Boyle’s compassion, understanding, and confidence reassured our faith as hopeful parents.
Secondly, after having an in-person consultation and examination, Dr. Boyle thoroughly explained her approach towards a “Re-do Reversal”, in which she confirmed the possibilities and conditions are still feasible, so right then and there, I decided to commit to having a second vasectomy reversal.
Thirdly, preparation for the surgery during all phases, pre, on day of, and post-surgery, was thoughtfully crafted to maximize success… Dr. Boyle’s carefully and precise planning is designed for optimal success rate and minimal pain/discomfort after the surgery. On the day of surgery, Dr. Boyle creates a sense of comfort, excitement, and trust that will surely make you comfortable knowing you’re in great hands! Now, having gone through this procedure before, I am qualified to distinguish between procedures, discomfort, and can vouch 100% that Dr. Boyle’s performance was SUPERB!!! After several days, the pain was minimal and less discomforting than my prior recovery… Swelling was minimal, and everything felt “normal” with no abnormal sensations… Within weeks I was confident and trusted Dr. Boyle had restored and successful reconnection, however, only an analysis can confirm my theory! Fast forward 6 weeks and I feel GREAT!!! The healing/recovery was wonderful and perfectly crafted by Dr. Boyle!
Lastly, the moment of truth… After 6 weeks an analysis was performed, and results were sent to Dr. Boyle at which point we meet to discuss them… And you guessed, IT WAS A SUCCESS!!!! Sperm count and motility numbers are great. We are all very pleased and excited with the possibilities for a new beginning. Pregnancy is back in our future thanks to our gifted and talented Dr. Boyle! We know there are many great doctors in the world but, Dr. Boyle is one of these rare professionals who is truly born with a gift for her craft and if you wish to have a successful reversal on your first time, please choose Dr. Boyle!!!!! Although, every case is different, you will surely be in the best hands possible if you’re considering a vasectomy reversal. Good luck to all!
To Dr. Boyle, there is not enough words, reviews, or stars that can rate your impeccable wisdom and skill set! You really are a pioneer in your field and your expertise shines above all others… Despite the results, we are extremely proud to have chosen you for this task and we wouldn’t change anything, including as having you as my urologist (despite living in PA.) We are blessed… Thank you for what you have returned to us!
P.M.
Pablo

It’s been two years since my daughter’s surgery and we still talk about what a great experience we had with Dr. Boyle. She is caring, compassionate, and the best of the best!

Absolute nightmare scheduling an appointment!! Was unable to get anywhere with the individual I was connected with to schedule an appointment. Unfortunately, this practice is outsourcing their call center to another country…and let me tell you…complete disaster trying to schedule an appointment.

She is a great Doctor, and she is very knowledgeable. She is God sent what other so called Doctors could not resolve. She resolved, all I needed was the right medication. Thanks Dr. Karen

I just took my 14 year old to Dr. Thompson and I would give him 10 stars if I could.
From the bedside manner, to the professionalism, to the medical knowledge, to the follow-up… he is legit. I’m so impressed. Highly recommend.

Saw me for >5 minutes, conducted a test I already had had done, looked at my paperwork from my primary physician, and charged a massive new patient fee. He immediately told me I likely had cancer and tried to schedule me for surgery within that 5 minutes of face time. I got a second opinion with a doctor who recommended a more pragmatic approach with an additional test and follow-up and everything seems fine. Would recommend you go to a different urologist.
Brooks Phelps

So grateful.I am now starting to get somewhere with my ugly UTI history.Dr Thompson and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, supportive and just do not push antibiotics. They look for other solutions to breaking a chronic couple of year cycle of miserable UTI’s.I definitely recommend that people give them a try when looking for a fresh start like I did. They listen and demonstrate a working knowledge to give hope rhis will come to an end.Thank you !

Dr Redwood has treated me for ten years for prostate issues. We went thru three surgeries
and all came out as he predicted. He is a fine doctor, gentlemen, and friend. I will recommend him to any, and all my family and friends.
Thank you Mark for your help and assurances
in troubled times over the years.
Keats Pullen

Has treated me for medical issues. Have nothing but positive to say about this Doctor. He is very direct and to the point. No unnecessary frivolous dialog. Very respectful and answers all questions presented to him. He takes time to explain options and alternatives if there are any. He performed a surgical procedure and explained its entirety including post surgical expectations. Dr Redwood will be my uriologist until such time he retires, moves out of State or my number comes up. Outstanding Doctor with an outstanding staff who are informative, very helpful and friendly and always courteous.
James Carnes

Mother had an operation done with Dr. Redwood and when she left he filled a nonexistant medication for 1mg when it only comes in 2mg or 4mg. It was phone call after phone call of troubles trying to get the right pain medications. Wasted a lot of time due to his mistake, not to mention the pain that she endured through this process. She will never go back to Dr. Redwood. Terrible experience.
Breanna Gary

What a horrible, horrible experience. Dr. Redwood has as much sensitivity as a dead stink bug. Bed side manner is not a word or action in his vocabulary. I will never recommend him or any of his associates for treatment. I do not trust him to be a creditable physician.
reginald rogers

He was very rude and didn’t take the time to explain anything. One of the worst bed side manners I have ever seen. This is our life and our family’s life shame on you for not having more compassion Dr. Stanley Redwood.

What does a urologist do?
A urologist specializes in diagnosing and treating disorders related to the urinary system and male reproductive organs. They address a variety of conditions, including urinary tract infections, kidney stones, prostate issues, and infertility. Urologists may also perform surgeries related to these conditions, making their expertise essential in both medical and surgical management.
When should I see a urologist?
You should consider seeing a urologist if you experience symptoms such as frequent urination, blood in urine, persistent lower abdominal pain, erectile dysfunction, or any discomfort in the urinary tract. Additionally, if you have a family history of urologic conditions, such as kidney disease or prostate cancer, visiting a urologist might be advisable for early detection and management.
How do I choose the right urologist in Baltimore?
Choosing the right urologist involves researching their qualifications, experience, and specializations. Look for board-certified urologists who have a good reputation based on patient reviews. Consider factors such as office location, availability, and whether they accept your insurance plan. It can also be helpful to seek recommendations from your primary care physician or other trusted sources.
What can I expect during my first visit to a urologist?
During your first visit, the urologist will take a detailed medical history and ask about your symptoms. You might undergo a physical examination and certain diagnostic tests, such as urinalysis or imaging studies. The goal is to gain a comprehensive understanding of your condition, which will help guide the recommended treatment plan.
Are there any specific tests that a urologist might perform?
Yes, urologists often perform specific tests to assess urinary and reproductive health. Common tests include urinalysis, urinary flow studies, ultrasounds, and cystoscopy. For male reproductive health, they may conduct tests like semen analysis and prostate examinations. These tests help in accurately diagnosing and devising an appropriate treatment plan.
What types of treatments do urologists provide?
Urologists provide a range of treatments, from medication to minimally invasive procedures and surgery. Treatment options may include medications for conditions like overactive bladder or erectile dysfunction, lifestyle changes, and surgical interventions such as prostatectomy or kidney stone removal. The treatment plan will depend on the specific diagnosis and patient preferences.
How do urologists handle emergencies?
Urologists are equipped to handle urologic emergencies, such as acute kidney stones or severe urinary tract infections. If you experience sudden, severe pain, inability to urinate, or any distressing symptoms, you should seek immediate care. Many urologists offer urgent care services or can direct patients to the appropriate emergency facilities for urgent treatment.
What should I discuss with my urologist during an appointment?
During your appointment, you should discuss your medical history, any symptoms you've been experiencing, and any previous treatments you’ve undergone. Feel free to ask questions about your diagnosis, potential treatment options, and what you can do to improve your condition. Open communication is crucial for effective management of your urologic health.
How often should I see a urologist?
The frequency of visits to a urologist can vary based on your specific health needs. Individuals with chronic conditions or ongoing treatment may need to visit more regularly, possibly every few months. On the other hand, if you are healthy or have been successfully treated for a condition, annual check-ups may suffice. Discuss with your urologist what schedule is best for your specific situation.
What are the risks associated with urologic procedures?
While many urologic procedures are safe, they can carry some risks, including infection, bleeding, or adverse reactions to anesthesia. Minimally invasive techniques typically reduce recovery time and complications. Your urologist will discuss potential risks associated with any procedure and help you weigh them against the expected benefits to make an informed decision.
