Ms Katherine is sooo impressive, her class is organized and structured. She always follows up with material and information as promised. She understands music ans is teaching my daughter so much like reading music and breathing. I look forward to being with her for years to come.
Monique “Moe” Levy

Baltimore School of Music is a wonderful and supportive place to learn an instrument! My son has been taking piano lessons here for over two years and his teacher, Emily, has helped him develop a true love for playing. She incorporates music theory and fun into the lessons, which he loves. I can’t recommend this place strongly enough.
Jennifer Johnson

Our family’s experience with Baltimore School of Music over the last 3 years has been exceptional! My 8 year old daughter is talking piano with Ms Liz and drumming with Mr Braden. Both teachers are engaging, knowledgeable and go above and beyond!
Alba Miranda Azola

Our son loves his time each week with Ms. Ida at BSM. They started their journey with ukulele and have shifted to guitar at his request. As a 2e learner, he has found Ms. Ida’s approach to be welcoming, supportive, accepting, and responsive… and his curiosity about music continues to grow. While he has no interest in playing for me, he heads to and from lessons joyfully, and we enjoy listening from the waiting area as he builds confidence.
Stacy Bryan

I have 2 kids participating in BSM, and both are learning Piano, and I would like to testify that my kids are really learning how to play and read music. Their confidence is very high thanks to their teachers. My kids always look forward to attending their classes.

I saw this event and thought this might be a good way to celebrate my birthday. My hai and I attend a Thursday night performance as a pre-birthday celebration. We had great seats and the atmosphere was inviting and friendly. We look forward to attending other performances. My husband and I have shared with family and friends how great a time we had.

Came here for a friend’s art show and it’s surprisingly a super cute renovated space. Hardwood floors make the sound of walking echo but other than that nice light and nice theater for performances. It also has a bar
Alexis Stewart

This event was an amazing experience. Besides the fact that it was intimate, it was interactive. The musicians were very in tuned with the audience and put me in a trance deeper and deeper as each selection was played.
Mrs Dmfly78 Flythe

It was my friend and I’s first event; Chocolate Covered Rocky Horror Picture Show and it did not disappoint! The performance was great and the audience provided a great vibe for everyone. Checking in was simple and the small art gallery was fabulous while waiting. We’ll definitely be coming back for more events!

Great shows, great staff. One of the most wheelchair-accessible venues in Baltimore. They even have a ramp to get on stage.

My son has been with this care provider since March and I am absolutely thrilled by his growth. My son is an only child so it was important to me he get socialized and of course me get to work without having to keep and eye out for him. He is only with them 2 days a weeks and the learning and social skills he brings home surpass my expectations. He comes in puts his shoes on the wrack his manners are lovely, I can really see him get more confident in his personality and speech. At first he fussed a lot when I dropped him off but he was always happy by pick up time and now he is sooo excited to go to school.
I would say the approach with the children is gentle but practical. You can tell the children have a really nice bond but also respect the staff working there and the children soak it up. The staff also have small differences that add to this it takes a village energy which is beautiful for that development of social skills.
Overall I went from nervous kind of hovering mommy of 1 to confident and ready and excited to have him there full-time. Can’t wait to see what more time will offer my baby!

All of you are an amazing part of his life. He’s turning into a little man before my eyes. He’s a kind and gentle, has manners, a great sense of humor. Thank you all for your sincere kindness
Edna Shaffer

I absolutely love love love kids edu caring place! And we are picky about who watches our baby. It took us over a year to find a daycare and let me tell you this place is definitely heaven sent ! There are so many good things to share I don’t even know where to start.. Mrs Ken and all the teachers are so kind, patient and knowledgeable about how to care for young children. They are super organized.. You are able to view a daily log in which they record when and what your baby eats, nap times, and when they’re changed. They feed your baby healthy home cooked meals! They have dance/exercise, art classes overtop of a school based educational program. They even have special events where your baby is exposed to so many wonderful things. They take the time to give each child a birthday party. Once you see for yourself you’ll feel so blessed to have come across a daycare such as this!

I used to love this location! Thought it had a very nice touch and access to some of the best drs. I think I picked the wrong location. The staff immediately made me feel less than and treated differently based on background, medical history and social status. I was asked to sleep on the floor you see in The pictures below. Nothing else to offer till 8am. Which is a lie I seen empty beds. Here to get help and now I have to worry about added back problems.

The doctors the staff and the people that work there are are some of the nicest most helpful people in any Healthcare System that I’ve ever been associated with.
Most of the time even if you arrive a little bit early or late for your appointment they get you in and out as soon as possible and they’re always checking afterwards through text messages or emails about how your treatment was and if you are having any problems

Hi Morton!
Dance has been going well this season thus far! I honestly feel like Drew is gaining the knowledge and technique needed to advance her dance skills. She truly is excited to come to dance every class and even practice at home.
All the feedback I have received from Drew has made my heart smile. The Nutcracker blew my mind! Never in a million years would I have expected my 11-year-old to be dancing at this level, and I genuinely thank Morton Street for pouring into Drew.
Drew is resilient, and I would love to see her pushed to the max. I would greatly appreciate any feedback on how Drew can advance her skills and become the dancer that she truly inspires to be.
Drew admired dance at Baby. I don’t know if you remember Drew admiring the dancers while she was in a carrier. Ha ha. She even sat behind the stage watching tech rehearsals on Ms. Donna’s lap. She loves to dance, she loves friendships, and most importantly, she’s gaining the discipline needed to navigate through this world.
Although this mama is tired, lol, I love seeing her do what she truly loves—dancing!
Deanna Denis

If you call or reach out, you can see if your child can do a free trial class. Check them out on Facebook and Instagram.
Nutcracker fans, there are 2 performances in December!

MSDC is absolutely amazing. My daughter is 5 and this was her second year there and she loves it, and her father and I are just as pleased. It fosters a sense of confidence, community, pride, dedication and so many more things. She has made so many friends here along the way. I plan on keeping her thriving here as long as I can. Ms. Donna, Ms. Pat and Ms. Julianna are amazing, as are the teachers she had this year, Ms. Morgan and Ms. Jewel. It’s an overall outstanding dance center.
Vedrana Irzyk

Morton Street Dance Center has been a home to so many students and staff alike over the years. The faculty take time to develop not only a dancers technique and performance ability but also invests time to know and understand who each dancer is. The studio is welcoming to all ages and abilities. MSDC positions dancers to reach professional careers in dance and theatre and remains the most welcoming studio in the area. Morton Street offers many styles of dance and takes pride in the quality of work they produce. The teachers are highly trained and come from an extensive background offering top quality instruction to each student. This is truly a studio that embraces friendship and family.
Madi Jackson

Our daughter has been dancing with Morton Street for over 4 years. We’re happy to have found a “home” for her development as a dancer, and we’re also thrilled with the growth we’ve seen in her confidence as well.
The staff are extremely knowledgeable and professional and they are intentional in providing the support and encouragement a growing dancer and adolescent need to blossom.
And the wide range of dance styles, repertory groups, performance engagements, intensives and camps offered provide lots of opportunities for dancers to thrive.
We tried out several studios in our quest to find the right fit for our daughter, and we believe that MSDC is by far the BEST dance studio in Baltimore!

A classical campus you would imagine – for a simply great institution. Had the chance to study for a year as an exchange student. Still remembering the excellence of JHU professors, lecturers, fellow graduate students – as well as the well-equipped libraries, other facilities, impressive historical buildings and nice coffee spots.
Johannes W. (JW)

What a beautiful, green and serene campus this is! The exposed brickwork complemented with Roman style of architecture makes it marvellous. America’s first research university that boasts of 22 Nobel laureates, Johns Hopkins truly is an epitome of beauty with brains!
Richa Rashmi

A world renowned university and medical system on a beautiful campus that is always clean and well maintained. The campus both the university and medical campus are situated in areas where petty crime can be an issue so always be vigilant but the university has extensive campus security and campus police on patrol. It’s such a great campus and a great place to work or learn.
Christopher Ramnarine

Drove the campus of Johns Hopkins University in an effort to find the world renowned medical school. The campus is quite dispersed and the drive to the Edward D. Miller Research building (Johns Hopkins School of Medicine) was through not the most affluent neighborhood so it was in quite a contrast with the school! Was hoping I’d be more impressed with parts of the campus that I saw.
Sonia

A beautiful campus and hospitality place. We had an appointment there and ate on site in their cafeteria.

Top-notch productions. Not a bad seat in the entire house.
Went this season with my bookclub pals to see….THE BOOKCLUb and POTUS. Both productions were extremely well executed. NYC quality at a fraction of the price.
Seasoned actors. Amazing, amazing sets.
This is the little theater that could… and DOES!
I’ll definitely go to more plays in the future.
The parking garage is close by- just a couple of minutes walk from Everyman.
Janna Keenan

Such a great theater with amazing actors! Performances I’ve seen so far have been phenomenal, most recently a wonderful version of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Nights Dream. There’s a good selection of refreshments, comfortable seating and friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Robin Fordham

Good plays well acted. Intimate theater space. All seats are good. Parking (pay lot) a block and a half from the lobby entrance. Good restaurants nearby.
This part of the review is about the current production. My wife and I attended the matinee 9/25/24.
The play is called POTUS. It’s a comedy about the presidency. It’s hilarious, but keep in mind that it’s PG 14 because of scantily clad women and racy language. Don’t say you haven’t been warned.
I recommend this theater, and I highly recommend this show.
Henry Farkas

Was there for a performance recently and I recall that this was my mother’s favorite theater in Baltimore. She had season tickets for years. Incredible actors and inventive performances. The seating is such that everyone is relatively close to the stage. Parking is ample in the area.
Kate Tallent

We had never been so no idea what the old location was like but this new location is lovely. And more important, the actors are superb. We went once earlier this year and were so impressed we bought season tickets at the end of that first show.
The stage design crew is top notch as well. All the sets are beautifully done. So far we have seen 3 plays and each has been excellent. I would highly recommend it.

Pretty cool space. I actually went in there accidentally thinking it was the Peale but it turned out to be the Peabody. There’s a couple of awesome exhibits up, one in Ethel Ennis and another on Elizabeth Talford Scott. I contributed to their prompt wall for Scott. While I was there, I went to the guy at the desk at the back to get help finding something and he was super thorough about it. I will be back to check out more regarding the books and to see more of the Ethel’s exhibit and just in general. They have seats you can sit down at with your computer so.

I recently had my For Lovers Only Baltimore show at the Motor house. I have worked with them in the past as well and each time has been top tier experience. Hands down this is one of the greatest venues in Baltimore especially for independent artists.
I have to personally shout out Vik Lizardo who was my direct contact and coordinator for my last 3 shows/events. When I tell you this woman is AMAZING, that’s an understatement. She was thorough, professional and brought my vision to life EACH time BEYOND my expectations. She truly advocates for the indie artist and we NEED more people like her!!!
I have to also shout out Camille Connor for doing sound and lighting for me at the recent show. Set up was done in a timely fashion and the show sounding INCREDIBLE!! Lighting was exactly what I wanted.
If you are looking to host an event or put on a concert, MOTOR HOUSE is your venue.
Chanel Narcissus

This space is a lot bigger on the inside than it looks. It’s really fantastic for hosting events. I could see a wedding reception or baby shower to book launch/reading or even a live podcast happening here. I would personally do something artistic here. I haven’t been to the area during the day. However, if the artworks and murals around looked amazing at night, then I can only imagine how splendid they would be during the daytime.
If you are looking for a day venue, contact the management first. I have no idea what their hours are, I’m speaking strictly from the perspective of a visitor who attended two nighttime events here and really liked the spot. Did I mention that it’s spacious too!
Raphael O. Harry

The Indie Fest artists were marvelous. When thinking about this event, I pictured a nightclub scene. The bar is open, food being served and performances right slab in the middle in the thick of things. Maybe next year or years to come because they deserve the space.
Now to the problem with the all gender facilities. I went to use it and while I was in one of the stalls; a little girl entered. She heard me on the phone briefly, so she paused. She was definitely hesitant to use the bathroom.
She was careful but she hurried herself and in the same instance I waited for her to completely leave the restroom due to not making her nervous or uncomfortable. It was an experience where someone would have to explain themselves if I didn’t put my thinking cap on to consider a grown man like myself inside a restroom with a small child.
This is a bad kind of different and I tried to get the concept of it however the reality inside those stalls can be troublesome.
Kevin Bennett

Awesome place. Love all the cool graffiti which lines the outside of the building. A local artist friend took me there to show me their studio. They do art, plays, events, etc. Will definitely be going back. Wonderful for any & all ages.

Fun arts center and event space, with multiple rooms, stages, a bar, an empanada stand, friendly staff and cool art.
