Just stopped past Tom’s Tropical about 2 hours ago. They have a great selection of peacock cichlids, haps, and some very large very large angelfish. The tanks are very beautiful and clean. Very healthy looking fish. And courteous staff. I just recently brought eight African cichlids for about $11 they are of great quality and a great starter cichlid for anyone looking into getting into breeding and taking care of aggressive African cichlids

This place has a large selection of fresh fish of all sizes with all items needed for tank care and setup. They also have reptiles such as lizards, snakes and turtles. With an addition to birds and small furry animals.

In addition to the animals this place and an amazing assortment of taxidermy on the walls and the back area.

I will definitely return due to the helpful nature of the staff.

This place is the bomb! I live a half hour away and still come here for my snakes food. They are super friendly and helpful! Whenever I bring my 7 year old son they ask if he wants to hold something. The last time, he held pinkies. He loved it! Plus, the array of fish and animals they have is beautiful! I’ve never been disappointed there.

I recently purchased 100 neon tetras from Tom. Tom personally hand picked my 100 fish and gave me a HUGE bulk discount (70%)!
I only keep fish so I cannot comment on the animals in his shop.
I’m a pleco and schooling fish guy and Tom has and can get you whatever you want as long as you communicate with him!
I’d definitely recommend Tom’s if you’re a fish lover like myself!

Staff is so friendly and they have a great selection for both cats and dogs. My dogs chew through EVERYTHING so I was so pleased to see how stocked they were in my favorite TUFFY brand toys.

Howl has so many cute toys, collars, and tons of options for food whether you’re feeding a dry, canned, or raw diet. This is the perfect local pet store!

Staff are very nice and were very kind in letting me return a harness that did not fit my dog. LOTS of healthy/natural snacks and meals for dogs. I raw feed my girl and it is wonderful for this place to sell XL bag of her food, and I can never leave without grabbing a bully stick, hoof, or freeze dried animal part for her.

Great people … terrible point of sale system. Howl team: your transactions take 10 times longer than they need to. That’s not an exaggeration.

Whatever is wrong with your POS and check out process — you need to fix it immediately. I would visit twice as often but every time I check out it’s a literal nightmare.

Don’t even waste time asking for my phone number. I’ve been there 1000 times and still not enough reward points to do anything so just save us all the time…..

Howl staff were so helpful when I stopped in the other day to pick up a very large dog crate. They helped me get it down all the way from the top shelf, and that’s definitely above and beyond when it’s a 42” giant heavy box requiring a ladder and two people to retrieve. Prices were fair and service was quick. Will be back when I need dog food.

Great first time visit! This store was a one woman show from washing, grooming, to cashier and she made it look effortless. When you arrive, there are two sets of doors, a double door and a single door on the left. Make sure to use the left one and ring the doorbell to be let in. Once inside, you’ll be greeted by dog foods and supplies to the front and the wash and groom center past an open door to the right. You have the option to wash your dog yourself or have it done for you at one of the four available dog wash stations. We opted to wash our dog ourselves and were give two aprons and towels. Because it was our first time at a dog wash, she showed us how to use the machine. Make sure to bring your own shampoo or conditioner, but if you don’t they have some available for purchase. Personally, she went above and beyond when she handpicked a shampoo for us with flea and tick after we mentioned heading to a national park and took the time to call us shortly after leaving when she noticed we forgot our dog brush. The total cost of a wash, shampoo, and extra flea and tick application came to a total of $40 which is extremely reasonable. The only reason I didn’t give this place a 5/5 was because everytime I left to get something I had to ring the doorbell to be let in and it was extremely hot that day. However, once she noticed my frustration, she unlocked the door for me to make it easier on me.

I used their self service dog washing stations, the owner of the shop was super nice, gave me everything I need, I know my dog is too much sometimes so I really appreciated that she took the time to tell me how could I improve.

I would recommend this place to anyone that can’t wash their puppy at home.

FYI Does not offer nail grinding. Would not recommended this place to someone with a large and sensitive dog. Don’t have review for other services. Nicked my dogs quick and just didn’t seem all that confident with large dog with black nails. Not for us. Thanks

First time customer today for a dog grooming.

We used to take our dog to another groomer. They were good, but were much more expensive and would take 5 hours.

Burton was our groomer and they did a great job.

We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place and Burton.

Thanks for taking such great care of our pup Judge.

I visited this store today and observed a Quaker parrot in a cage that is far too small and did not contain a single toy for the parrot to play with. Additionally, the parrot is on display inside a flea market, exposed to fumes from burning incense, perfume, and essential oil diffusers all over the place. Standing in front of the pet store, you can smell nothing but incense, perfume, and essential oil. Owner, do you know this is killing the parrot you’re trying to sell? This is not a joke. Do you know how sensitive parrots’ respiratory systems are? Google it. Your search results will confirm that these fumes are deadly to parrots. Move the parrot out of the flea market and into a HEPA-filtered environment. Put the parrot in a much larger cage and add a few toys ffs

Response to owner Edit:
No, you are not far from the sources of fumes. Your entire pet store (pet booth) smells like incense and perfume. This is harming your birds. Go stand in front of your flea market booth and smell it for yourself. Your parrots are not dogs. Parrots require air free of harmful fumes. If you think the flea market air is safe, you’re wrong.

You’ve been keeping that poor baby stuffed in that tiny cage, with zero toys, for months? Wow. Any parrot owner can see how terrified and stressed out that bird is. No knowledgeable parrot owner, let alone anybody in their right mind, would ever agree that keeping parrots in a flea market, in a tiny cage, without toys, and exposed to harmful fumes is acceptable. Let’s have an open discussion about this over on Reddit/r/parrots. Let’s see what other people say about the conditions you keep your birds in.

Edit: Additionally, your pet booth is next to the food court. Do you know what is released into the air when nonstick cookware gets hot? Did you know it doesn’t always immediately kill a bird, but it can slowly kill them and cause permanent damage? Do you think keeping a parrot near multiple indoor kitchens is safe?

Edit: You’re a business owner, not an animal expert. And that’s fine. But consider the reason why Maryland’s Animal Welfare Law prohibits you from selling cats and dogs from your flea market booth. Why do you think this law was passed? Because flea markets are not suitable environments for animals, especially parrots.

Let’s take all assumptions away and stick to the facts. You’re selling parrots crammed into cages that are way too small for them, inside a flea market full of fumes from nearby sources, including burning incense, essential oil diffusers, perfume shops, and kitchens. You have no air filtration in place at all, and your parrots have no toys.

You need to do better. How about moving the parrots into your store, which is in a separate building, and putting a TV in the flea market booth, live streaming them? Hang a sign in front of your live stream that says, “Parrots for sale next door.” This would solve all the problems, assuming you actually have toys and suitable cages at the location outside of the flea market

It’s super easy and inexpensive to do something like this.

On 9/12/21 visit the pet store where I purchased a sling for my fur gbaby. She didn’t stay in it after I walked away. So I came back to pay the difference for a stroller she didn’t have any, so I was willing to take a loss in the price difference to purchase the backpack. I was very unsatisfied.

Don’t get into the reptile game if you aren’t knowledgeable of it. you are THE ONLY place that will not exchange feeders. Snakes are finicky eaters, you acted like this was something new. The very first visit in store I asked if this would be an issue and was assured, “of course, no problem” then when I unfortunately have to, you won’t. My business will be elsewhere from here on out and I will no longer support this small business or recommend this place.

This store has everything I need for all of my pets. I have a dog, cat, two turtles and a fish. The only downside, which is not the store problem, is they sometimes do not have crickets which my turtles love. Their supplier sometimes can’t make it so I end up having to go somewhere else. But anything I can think of for my pet they have. And things I didn’t know I needed.

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this wonderful place. I have an elderly dog, who is pretty much special needs at this point and there is NO ONE I trust more than the groomers here at Happy Dog. They TRULY care about the comfort and well-being of your dog. They go beyond the extra mile, are knowledgeable, skilled and help me, the dog mom to feel comfortable as well. I was really worried about my dog getting groomed with how frail she is, and they even called me half way through to let me know how she was doing and I can’t tell you how much that means to me. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. They are truly the best. Thank you so much fo existing. 🙂 Much love

This place is the best. I was quoted $2k at my vet to have my 13 year old chihuahua teeth cleaned. His teeth are now sparkling white thanks to Happy Dog and I only had to pay $300. Plus everyone was super friendly. He needs a few extractions so I called around and found Spay Now in Columbia, MD who will do simple extractions for $400. Total of $700 and his teeth are in tip top shape.

We are deeply grateful for the exceptional services and care Happy Dog provided for our beloved dog for more than 2 years. With my frequent work travels and my husband working an hour away from Baltimore, their team’s professionalism, compassion, and empathy were invaluable. The walkers are really attentive to Rosie’s needs (very sweet girl and at the same time with strong personality that came with her older age), are very responsive, always show up and keep us informed. Their platform of communication , scheduling, payment works really well. They treated Rosie like family, and it gave us great peace of mind to receive updates and photos of her. Thank you, Happy Dog Friends, for your outstanding service and for loving Rosie.

Feel free to adjust any details to better fit your personal experience.

Milly loves getting groomed with Happy Dog! She’s a sweet, older pup who can be a bit anxious about brushing, so they recommended some calming drops to help her feel more at ease. Plus, they allow her some time to relax in between her appointment, which is just perfect for her. I wouldn’t dream of taking her anywhere else!

we’re so happy we stopped in yesterday to meet the owner and see the shop! they are relatively new in the neighborhood. we love to have a dog treat store so close to the house. the owner was really passionate about her business, kind and personable. she gave us a run down of her inventory, including showing us how she makes home make dog clothes!! she also has build your own doggy gift baskets, which is a brilliant idea for dog lovers! she makes her own super unique treats. i brought my own crazy dogs in there and they loved the place, one of my dogs even refused to leave her store lol. she gave us treats for the dogs and generously gave samples of products to try. 10/10 would recommend this store, get out and support a small business and an owner who truly cares about the product!! we will be returning for more treats and dog cleaning products!

My husband and I stopped by Chateau de MarMutt while our little Theo was getting the ✂️✂️ in hopes to find a toy that would keep him busy post-surgery. We got that.. and more! The owner – and the two pups who accompanied her – were so sweet, providing us with toys and dog park recommendations. Khaleesi was great at showing us what toys were a big hit – ha! The shop is filled with unique toys and treats that you would never find in a typical big box store. She even makes her own line of dog clothes using upcycled materials! We ended up bringing home a chew toy made from coffee wood and it has been amazing at keeping Theo away from his stitches. Love this place – highly recommend!!!
