I surprised my husband with a visit here for our 20 year “dating” anniversary. When we got there we had to wait (reservations suggested) but it wasn’t terribly long. I was surprised on how loud it was, I was expecting a more relaxed atmosphere but for the most part it was clean. Thankfully we got seated in a section that was less noisy. Our waiter was nice. The food was okay. Some of the meats were a little overcooked and the only sides we got offered were mashed potatoes and plantains. Our drinks were really tasty. Overall, my husband seemed to really enjoy himself and that was the most important part to me. It was a different dining experience for us both.

I’m only giving one star because it’s the minimum required to leave a review. Our experience at Fogo de Chão was beyond disappointing. We had a reservation for a party of nine, but from the moment we sat down, we had no assigned server. No one greeted us, introduced themselves, or took responsibility for our table. We had to constantly flag down staff for drinks, which led to 22 duplicate drinks piling up on our table with no one clearing them. We didn’t receive tongs for the meat service until 45 minutes after being seated — and only because a manager finally brought them. Meanwhile, other tables around us received full service with sides, bread, and attentive staff, while we were left feeling ignored and devalued. Our meal consisted of flat sodas, a few pieces of meat, and no sides, bread, or cooked-to-order items. This was supposed to be a special celebration, but it felt like a complete disregard for our time and experience. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for quality service or a memorable dining experience.

Booked a reservation for my birthday dinner but didn’t need one as there were plenty of tables available only a few parties dining in this night. My server was sweet, she promptly came to my table as soon as I was seated and was attentive throughout the evening replenishing the side dishes. The mashed potatoes were over processed, the plantains were over ripe, the fried polenta was ok. I had the sea bass, it was a small portion and left much to be desired, the asparagus was overcooked. The attendant who brought my hot water brought it in the “back of the house” carafe and left it on the table for me to serve myself before she finally found the correct tea kettle for table service. I went to the salad bar most of the food did not look fresh. The garlic bread was covered in a cloth and swarmed by dozens of large flies. My server was sweet, but I will not return.

Everything was very very good, but as someone who prefers more well done meats, the beef items never came out to me past medium. My better half on the other hand, loves hers as rare as they will allow. She was in her glory. Salad bar has a fairly decent selection for the items I liked, wife says it has an excellent selection. Wife had a “Pineapple Mint Lemonade”, that she highly recommends.

I ordered trio of lobster, scallop and haddock in a bed of asparagus and mash potato. The seafood cooked perfectly. Asparagus was crunchy not overcooked.
My husband ordered steak crab cakes. The steak was good quality meat and cooked medium rare just as he wanted. Crab cake not the best, I had better one.
The waitress so pleasant and professional . At the end we agreed didn’t mind paid somewhat pricey food if they were that good.

Awesome place to eat if you’re in the area. The food was fantastic. The server we had was also an amazing guy. Atmosphere was great it is on the harbor has outdoor seat, has a dock area seating and outdoor kitchen also has a nice indoor restaurant too. We sat in the bar area and had a great time. There was also a fella playing live music.

We had a lovely experience and had a wonderful server by the name of Katie. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about the options I was stuck on. I had the Seafood Trio and my son had the soft crab sandwich along with the Grilled Shrimp and Scallops. Almost forgot we had an appetizer and the name slipped my mind. It was a rice ball with Mozzarella and crab. Also, so very yummy. Such a cool place. Will definitely hit this place up again when in the area Thank You again Katie for talking us into dessert

My husband and I decided to stop by after visiting the aquarium since it’s right across the street and had a great experience! Our waitress, Ruby, was absolutely AMAZING and so attentive. She gave great recommendations, including the pictured Steamed Captain’s Bucket, and consistently came to check on us and refill our drinks.

My only complaint is that some of the items at the bottom of our meal such as the potatoes and clams/mussels were a little cold. The crab, corn and lobster tasted fresh and warm though! Would definitely come back and order this again!

Customer Reviews
The food here was very delicious. I got the funky monkey bread appetizer which was huge, enough to feed multiple people and then some. As my meal I got the gravy train Southern Skillet which is basically fried Chicken, a biscuit with some gravy and an egg on top with some greens in a skillet. It was super delicious and it was huge, you could definitely stretch it out for a few meals but I devoured the whole thing – It was very good. As a side, I also got the mac and cheese Skillet because if a restaurant offers mac and cheese you got to give it a go. The mac and cheese comes in a skillet and it was also very very good.
Three friends went with me and we all got different things and everybody loved it. We all got some alcoholic drinks to go with brunch. I got a caramel apple cider something something drink and it was delicious. I had two of them and I probably could have gone for six or seven.
The atmosphere here was fine, we sat outside so I don’t have much to say other than the weather was nice. This place is wheelchair accessible, the front door has a wheelchair ramp and there’s no steps to get inside. This place seems a little pricey but I would say it is worth it.

I’m so disappointed to say that I really didn’t enjoy my food as Miss Shirley’s. I went at lunchtime and was able to be seated within a few minutes which was great! There were so many good looking things on the menu and I finally decided on the fried chicken sandwich with buffalo/ranch and upgraded to a side of mac n cheese. The chicken had almost no flavor and the mac n cheese wasn’t even hot. The Mac n cheese tasted good, but I didn’t like the chicken at all. It was so messy with the buffalo/ranch surrounding it. I added some salt to it to try to enjoy it more, but overall it was a really disappointing experience. I’m hoping it was just the thing I picked. I’d try something on the sweeter side if I ever came back.

This spot didn’t disappoint. It was highly recommended, and I took full advantage of the experience. Initially, it looked like it was a long wait, but the wait time for 5 people was only 20 minutes. The waitress was very attentive even though she was super busy. I actually saw her working hard, so there was no reason to be upset for the longer wait. Everything that was bought out for other tables looked amazing, so it made it very hard to dial down to exactly what dish WE were all going to choose. The chicken and waffles, omelets, Gravy Train Southern Skillet, and Peach Cobbler Biscuits were all exceptional! You can look at my attached pictures to see the dishes that were ordered. But everything was GREAT!! The service was good. There’s a parking garage directly across the street, a little expensive $30. However, there is a parking lot that they do validate. I wish I would have known before I parked in the one directly across the street. Maybe they should make this more visible for customers to see…. However, coming from a foodie, if in the area, you must try this spot, and I’ll definitely be back because there are many food options that I want to try.

Had a great brunch at this southern style comfort food diner. My only regret was that we couldn’t eat more! Special shout out to their service — they were very respectful of our no pork dietary restriction and a member of their management came out and told us in detail how our meals would be cooked without contact with pork products. Did not expect that at all, but it was very considerate of them. The jerk shrimp deviled eggs were divine. Also had the crabby grilled cheese with naptown salad and crab soup – everything tasted so fresh! Would definitely come back again to try their other dishes.

Great food huge portions! You won’t go hungry! We came around 10am on a Saturday with 3 people and a dog and were seated immediately outside. Monkey break was sweet, get it with the strawberry and whipped cream. The chicken and waffles was good, great flavor. Everyone liked their food and service was pretty quick!

The prices are crazy, $143 for two adults, a teenager who only had a chicken sandwich and hash browns, and a 9 year old boy. My grandson picked this place. The food was good, but never again. The salmon was a little too salty. The waitress was very nice and attentive to the allergies my grandson had and the picky eater my younger grandson was being.

This place does not disappoint on all fronts. Food, ambiance, and coffee ☕️!! Food is seasoned to perfection (not too much, not too little).

The first bite makes you put your fork back down and roll your eyes with delight. My friend had the salmon with grits and fried green tomatoes. My (made to order) dish was an omelet with lump crab meat and blackened shrimp. That came with a 3 green salad with a sweet vinaigrette dressing. 2 sides of miniature waffles with lightly powdered sugar arrived with a raspberry drizzle on the plate. (It’s the little things.) We also got a “to-go” dish. The coffee alone was

Ample off-street parking.

I had the pleasure of dining at Miss Shirley’s Cafe in Roland Park, and I was thoroughly impressed. The menu boasted a wide variety of options, making it easy to find something delicious even with dietary restrictions.
My wife, who has a gluten allergy, was particularly pleased. When we placed our order, the manager approached our table to confirm her allergy and ensure that our meal would be prepared safely. It was a refreshing change to have our dietary needs taken so seriously.
The food was fantastic, and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend Miss Shirley’s Cafe for anyone looking for a delicious and accommodating dining experience.

One of my go-to brunch spots! Everything I’ve tasted on the menu is delicious. I absolutely love their fried chicken and biscuits omelette, it’s out of my usual breakfast comfort zone but it was so delicious that it’s all I ever order now. That and a short stack of pancakes. Miss Shirley’s probably has the best pancakes in Baltimore. Consistently sweet and fluffy but slightly crispy on the edges.

Although I always order the same things I’m not shy about trying my friends’ food. The coconut cream French toast is like having dessert for breakfast. Decadent, sweet, with HUGE pieces of brioche. The breakfast sandwich is a savory delight, not huge but enough for a good meal. The bread they put it on is amazing. I’ve also tried their savory chicken and waffles, different from what I usually want out of my chicken and waffles but not bad by any means.

I’m also not a deviled egg person but they’re deviled egg appetizers are amazing. Who knew, all I needed was for it to be covered in other accoutrements for me to enjoy it.

It’s usually packed and busy there but I went for a late brunch the other day around 1:30 and we were seated immediately. Late brunch might be the way to go if you don’t want to wait on seating.

Great “pub” located in the cut in Baltimore. The area has an old charm vibe. It didn’t really look like a pub though. Crab is the star of the show here. The Crab cakes are massive (11oz) and nothing but crab!!! Very delicious. Small space and they used every inch of it. Service was good and the bathrooms were clean. The wings were ok, the coconut shrimp was great. The creamy crab dip… It’s creamy, but I wasn’t a huge fan. It tasted like nothing but a really thick cream without much flavor. It was different. Overall great spot!

Traditional Baltimore hole in the wall restaurant. I’m not at big crab cake guy but I do love buffalo wings. The honey old bay had good favor and it comes with fantastic, homemade blue cheese. The Salmon BLT was my favorite. The bacon had a strong smoked flavor and the salmon was very tender and natural tasting.

Service was fantastic! Attentive servers, we were seated without reservations (reservations are HIGHLY recommended). Food was delicious, the crab cakes are baseball sized and 90% crab and 10% “cake”, the slaw accompaniment was yummy. The crab soup was delicious, the honey mustard wings are perfection. The onion rings were a tad over fried. Drinks had variety! The place was buzzing!

Mom’s crab soup was packed with massive strands of crab in a light tomato and veg broth and was good enough on its own with a pint of beer; however, the crab cakes exceeded expectations. Their 11oz of huge lumbs of crab meat and virtually no filler. I frankly don’t know how they keep it from falling apart with so little breadcrumbs and batter. Yeah, the fries and slaw were excellent too, but Koco’s crab cakes are worth every penny of their market price.

One of the best lunches I’ve ever had.

I had the pleasure of stopping here on my way through Baltimore. My friends and I tried 3 dishes and every one was perfection. The broccoli tempura, the garlic noodles, and the spectacular neighborhood bird bowl. The seasoning and pairings of all the ingredients were well thought out and added layers of flavor to each bite.

I can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu.

Awesome Korean Chicken spot! It can get really busy and be super packed, so order ahead or be prepared to be patient for your order. This is more of a take-out spot as there is little seating. The chicken with rice was great, and I especially loved the pickled onions. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in the Baltimore area.

I got the shrimp snacks and the neighborhood bird spicy. It’s not very spicy, but more or a sweet tang with a kick. The flavor is amazing, playing games with my taste buds. PLUS their playlist 10/10. Highly recommend this place!

My choices today were the Spicy Neighborhood Bird Bun & the tempura broccoli. The broccoli is a huge portion! If ordering for a couple, share it, for yourself? Be prepared! The sandwich was fantastic. The level of spice was perfect (think Sriracha) and distinct sweetness to the steam bun even comes through. Clearly fresh ingredients! Cost a premium? Sure! Worth it? Absolutely! Be back soon enough!!

Today my friend and I both had the Haddock platter, soup and a drink for lunch at Lexington Market today. It was around $40. each including the tip. The platter looked great the fish is huge and sides were small but tasty. You get the impression that everything is made fresh because of the fresh items on display. The fish we ate was clearly frozen with a thick layer of breading that is way too salty, crunchy on the outside and doughy on the inside and the meat of fish is salty. It’s a total salt fest. The sodium content has to be out the roof. I resorted to separating the fish from the thick, salty deep fried shell/coating. This Haddock is way too expensive to be so unhealthy and unpleasant to eat. I realized this is my second time eating the Haddock. The last time I was with a different person who introduced me to the Haddock Sandwich. He said The haddock used to be half the price and it was amazing. He ended up complaining to a staff member that day during the meal out of embarrassment and frustration for how bad it was compared to what he remembers from the past. Ironically the cashier actually agreed and refunded us. Today I wanted to introduce my friend from NYC to a better place for fresh fried fish in Baltimore than a random corner take-out. I totally forgot about my previous experience. So I felt like a fool. I also noticed that the place was empty. The old Faidleys seemed to never be empty. All these tables and no seating in here feels very hostile and quite disrespectful especially during the holidays. Now I have a salt headache and I couldn’t finish the meal. They failed to mention that meat was in the collard greens. Both soups had a bunch of crab shells in them. I wasted $40. People were making crab cakes while handing cellphones. Rubber gloves were being misused. We noticed a man behind the counter eating with rubber gloves on at the oyster bar. Honestly, I get no pleasure from writing this review. I know that this is a beloved Baltimore landmark. The idea is to acknowledge the problems and save the business. It’s embarrassing as a person who recommends this restaurant to travelers often. Faidleys is the crown jewel of the market. I pray that they fix it because restaurants are closing down every day. Taste the food you’re serving. Get some seating and stop punishing the customers. Check your seasonings for the salt content. Retrain the staff in food safety protocols.

Stopped in for some seafood and a bit pricey for what we had but well worth the price. Casino clams were awesome, oysters I believe we’re harvested locally and tasted so fresh!!! Stop in if your in the area for some great seafood!!

Stopped by Faidley’s Seafood in Lexington Market for lunch on a Monday afternoon in August. Ordered the jumbo-lump crab cake which wasn’t too bad. If I go back I’d probably try something else though. Good friendly service, very clean and vibrant atmosphere!

If you use rideshare be sure to use Faidley’s address instead of the address for Lexington Market. Faidley’s is on the Paca Street side of the market and, when I went, it was much safer than the Eutaw Street side.

I visited Faidley’s many years ago and now it is in the new section of Lexington Market. It is definitely for the tourists as it is clean and modern. Service is fast perhaps too fast. My daughter felt like the crab cake should have been warmer. It’s a good crab cake and enjoyable. Service not the friendliest but that’s not a big deal to me. I enjoyed the outdoor seating.

Customer Reviews
I found the experience quite underwhelming, and there’s definitely room for improvement with the menu selections. Most of the dishes seemed heavily reliant on honey, and not just honey—extremely sweet honey. For example, the wings were so sticky they were practically glued to the plate. The salmon and mashed potatoes were drenched in honey, completely overpowering the flavors of the crab and fish. The stuffed lobster was disappointingly dry and could’ve benefited from some melted butter, while the egg rolls were tiny with only a faint hint of crab flavor.

As for the service, it was just okay. The staff seemed to be doing their best, but there was no one at the hostess stand when I arrived, which led to some initial confusion about where to go or whom to speak to. Eventually, someone noticed me, but it wasn’t the most welcoming start. Our reserved table was positioned near the kitchen and a high-traffic area, which wasn’t ideal, especially with what seemed like a large gathering happening nearby.

Overall, I wouldn’t come back, but I truly hope they take these recommendations to heart and improve both the food and the guest experience.

Delicious food. A little pricey. But it’s worth it. They have brunch menu all day long on Sundays (we wished they had told that to us before we ordered because we would have ordered something for the brunchmenu too). There are no burgers on Sunday.

We had an 8:30 reservation and when we were ready to order the waitress ran a list of items that were no longer available for the evening. It was the exact items our party of four had planned on ordering. We were able to find other items we enjoyed, however it was disappointing to not be able to order the items we wanted to try.
When we received our order the steak was cooked to my liking and seasoned well, the honey jerk lamb chops and Mac and cheese were delicious. The Red Snapper was tough and extremely dry, the seafood pasta was delicious however didn’t come with enough noodles. Overall I would go back but would not make a reservation after 7:30.

Went here today with my son and my daughter. The service was quick. The food was quick. Brussels sprouts were amazing. Never even made it to a pitcher fries delicious. Everything was amazing. And I would definitely go here over and over and over again.

I’ve visited Papi’s a few times, and each time, I’ve noticed a decline in the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere.

I typically go there to satisfy my cravings, and this visit was no different. I tried the crab egg roll, jerk lamb chop with crab cake, mac & cheese, chicken wings with surf and turf fries, and the bread pudding for dessert.

The crab egg roll was good, but the jerk lamb chop is starting to feel overrated. The chicken wings were just okay, and the bread pudding seems to have changed and not for the better.
However their portion sizes are generous.

Customer Reviews
Amazing food and an amazing manager. We came in to celebrate a birthday and while we waited for our table Joey treated us to a picture by the water. He was so sweet and started our evening off on the right foot.
Unfortunately, our waiter didn’t keep up the same vibe…he was miserable and definitely killed the mood right from the start. We felt as if we bothered him with our orders.
He wasn’t pleasant the entire time, even after asked if he was having a rough evening. Last straw was when we asked for dessert for our birthday girl (which he was aware of from the beginning), he said the kitchen was closed. After we finished paying another couple received dessert. Sadly he made the entire experience crappy.
Thankfully the food was great and Joey was a vibe all by himself. Thank you for being so amazing and the restaurant is lucky to have you.

We had the best time at Ampersea. We booked about a month out and wanted to sit outside. We were seated at the best table. The views are incredible. The service is impeccable. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and overall just a nice guy. The highlight of our visit was the manager Joey! He went out of his way to make sure we had a memorable experience. He took so many beautiful photos of us at sunset. He made sure our food was to our liking. He truly is a gem.

We ordered the apple/kale salad which was delicious. We ordered a seafood pasta special that was phenomenal and also the crab cake which was one of the best I’ve had. We highly recommend this restaurant and are looking forward to returning in the future.

Me and my hubby’s first time here and it was a wonderful experience. The employees were all very welcoming, attentive and kind. The manager Joey had stopped by our table to talk to us and he was very nice and welcoming! The food was splendid.
I recommend trying the crab cake! Was very delicious. We ended our dinner off with the strawberry bread pudding with vanilla ice cream, which was amazing! Service 10/10 and the food was a 10/10! Highly recommend!

My husband and I decided to try out a new restaurant for our third year anniversary, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We decided to sit outside on the water, so the atmosphere was amazing! Customer service was excellent we had KeeKee as our waitress although everyone who helped her was also very professional and kind. The chef and kitchen staff were definitely on their A game because the food was delicious. Last but not least we were over joyed to have met Joey the manager who went above and beyond to make sure we had the best anniversary experience ever!!! He was very engaged with all of his guests making sure that we had everything that we needed with a smile that lit up the room. We’ll definitely be back again to try more items on the menu!

Oh my gosh! Words cannot describe how tasteful the food was. Highly recommend the crab pretzel and the chopped salad. Fish tacos were ok. I think there’s better items on the menu like the lobster role.

Brussels are a must have. No beers on tap but a wide selection of whiskeys. Do check your bill the whiskey price on the bill happened to ring in $5 higher than the menu price.

Joey the new manager was super sweet and made it special for the evening. Also Alyssa is a wonderful server.

Got the spanakopita bites with sauce. I am a lover of Greek food…. But this was nasty….mushy and full of grease. Tasty deep fired. Most spinach pies are oven baked. I could not eat it
