The food here was very delicious. I got the funky monkey bread appetizer which was huge, enough to feed multiple people and then some. As my meal I got the gravy train Southern Skillet which is basically fried Chicken, a biscuit with some gravy and an egg on top with some greens in a skillet. It was super delicious and it was huge, you could definitely stretch it out for a few meals but I devoured the whole thing – It was very good. As a side, I also got the mac and cheese Skillet because if a restaurant offers mac and cheese you got to give it a go. The mac and cheese comes in a skillet and it was also very very good.
Three friends went with me and we all got different things and everybody loved it. We all got some alcoholic drinks to go with brunch. I got a caramel apple cider something something drink and it was delicious. I had two of them and I probably could have gone for six or seven.
The atmosphere here was fine, we sat outside so I don’t have much to say other than the weather was nice. This place is wheelchair accessible, the front door has a wheelchair ramp and there’s no steps to get inside. This place seems a little pricey but I would say it is worth it.

I’m so disappointed to say that I really didn’t enjoy my food as Miss Shirley’s. I went at lunchtime and was able to be seated within a few minutes which was great! There were so many good looking things on the menu and I finally decided on the fried chicken sandwich with buffalo/ranch and upgraded to a side of mac n cheese. The chicken had almost no flavor and the mac n cheese wasn’t even hot. The Mac n cheese tasted good, but I didn’t like the chicken at all. It was so messy with the buffalo/ranch surrounding it. I added some salt to it to try to enjoy it more, but overall it was a really disappointing experience. I’m hoping it was just the thing I picked. I’d try something on the sweeter side if I ever came back.
Amanda

This spot didn’t disappoint. It was highly recommended, and I took full advantage of the experience. Initially, it looked like it was a long wait, but the wait time for 5 people was only 20 minutes. The waitress was very attentive even though she was super busy. I actually saw her working hard, so there was no reason to be upset for the longer wait. Everything that was bought out for other tables looked amazing, so it made it very hard to dial down to exactly what dish WE were all going to choose. The chicken and waffles, omelets, Gravy Train Southern Skillet, and Peach Cobbler Biscuits were all exceptional! You can look at my attached pictures to see the dishes that were ordered. But everything was GREAT!! The service was good. There’s a parking garage directly across the street, a little expensive $30. However, there is a parking lot that they do validate. I wish I would have known before I parked in the one directly across the street. Maybe they should make this more visible for customers to see…. However, coming from a foodie, if in the area, you must try this spot, and I’ll definitely be back because there are many food options that I want to try.

Had a great brunch at this southern style comfort food diner. My only regret was that we couldn’t eat more! Special shout out to their service — they were very respectful of our no pork dietary restriction and a member of their management came out and told us in detail how our meals would be cooked without contact with pork products. Did not expect that at all, but it was very considerate of them. The jerk shrimp deviled eggs were divine. Also had the crabby grilled cheese with naptown salad and crab soup – everything tasted so fresh! Would definitely come back again to try their other dishes.

Great food huge portions! You won’t go hungry! We came around 10am on a Saturday with 3 people and a dog and were seated immediately outside. Monkey break was sweet, get it with the strawberry and whipped cream. The chicken and waffles was good, great flavor. Everyone liked their food and service was pretty quick!

Very neat community vibe at this food court. Great indoor and outdoor seating areas to choose from after you make a difficult choice of amazing vendors for something to eat and drink. I couldn’t choose so had a good sampling from two spots.
There was not a ton of parking options, but they do have a small fee lot to check before finding something on the street.

We absolutely LOVE it here!! It’s always so challenging to make a final decision on what type of food you want to eat that moment. It all looks and is amazing!!
This time we went with jambalaya from creole soul restaurant, sushi from Hilo, and the Dominican platter and a wild berry lemonade from Tio G’s.
We shared our meals across the table and ended the meal with mouth watering beignets from creole soul restaurant!
Stop by and indulge in any style meal you wish! The atmosphere is chill and inviting. The people are warm and welcoming. It’s just a fantastic spot all around!!

Excellent Food court and bar concept. Kinda like a food truck court but inside. Plenty of seating inside and out. I think there are 9 different food outlets and a bar with a very good tap selection. Lots of families and a section for kids.

Matt is my favorite bartender in the city! He remembers what I drink, and wonders where I’ve been if he hasn’t seen me. Decent food options…the popup stall always has something interesting. Jazz night and trivia night are fun too.
Sequinta Hill

Loved this place. While visiting from Arizona my friend took me here. A great mix of different, non-chain, food vendors. Kinda like a mall food court, but GOOD. I ended up with some excellent pizza and my friend had a delish protein bowl. The space is def more on the cold & modern industrial side of design. Everything was clean. There is a variety of different seating areas, accommodating everything from a couple, to a group.

I went here with 4 others and have never been more disappointed by a restaurant. We ordered two apps to start, the potstickers (6 small pieces for $21) and the chicken satay (4 small skewers for $21). The apps came shortly after our drinks arrived but we weren’t given any silverware or plates. Our server brought us silverware after we asked but said she was trying to find us plates still. We ended up eating all the apps before we were ever given small plates because we were tired of waiting. Next came out the entrees, or at least one of them. The shrimp tacos (a “main” for $25 came with three tiny tacos) arrived at the table but no one else was given their food for another 6 minutes. Once the rest of the food did arrive, the only hot item was the fries. The chips that came with the french dip were soggy and bendable. I tuna and salmon on the sushi & salad was inedible. The burgers were meh with not much topping on it for $26. This was a terrible experience for myself and everyone else in my group, none of us will be returning.

Went for Sushi Sunday with a few friends and the sushi was surprisingly amazing. We got the Fire Dragon and the Sunset. BOMB! Great place to gather with friends for a pregame snack and drink.
Ryan Gardner

It’s a NO for me! Where do I start… First, don’t be fooled by the prices and think you’ll get something amazing, lower your standard way way below average!! I don’t know if it was an off night or what but we had an issue with almost everything we ordered. We tried the meatballs on mashed potatoes, the poke bowl, margarita flight and house fries. The meatballs came out cold and the manager ended up taking them off the bill. The poke bowl was one of the biggest disappointments I’ve had in a while, trust me I know a good poke bowl when I see it. The fries were okay and way overpriced. LASTLY, the margaritas weren’t frozen anymore when we got them which means they sat at the bar for too long, and the cherry on top was finding a freaking fly in one of them, a whole fat FLY, just chilling there either passed out drunk or dead, I couldn’t finish the other ones after seeing it.

So bad it’s difficult to even find the words. Highly recommend you do not waste time or money. Spent over $100 and walked out without eating or drinking almost any of the food. Do not make bad reviews often. One star is more than it deserves

We came in with high hopes based on the prior reviews and the website and menu. Unfortunately, we were quickly disappointed. The service was lack luster at first with our waitress not being very attentive. She made a few mistakes with our meal such as forgetting our appetizer, not coming to check on us after delivering our food, and not ensuring the food was correct and of good quality. I ordered their yellowfin tuna steak, a seasonal special. It was completely overcooked and unedible. Basically tough canned tuna. I sent it back and decided not to reorder. They kindly gave me a new meal on the house to show how the meal should have been cooked. I got it to go. It looks much better and after trying it, it tasted much better. Their manager and assistant manager handled the situation very well and I appreciate their kindness and great customer service. Their assistant manager really shined through and saved the meal with his jokes and sparkling personality. I wish things could have been better but I appreciate the staff for working so hard.

The prices are crazy, $143 for two adults, a teenager who only had a chicken sandwich and hash browns, and a 9 year old boy. My grandson picked this place. The food was good, but never again. The salmon was a little too salty. The waitress was very nice and attentive to the allergies my grandson had and the picky eater my younger grandson was being.

This place does not disappoint on all fronts. Food, ambiance, and coffee ☕️!! Food is seasoned to perfection (not too much, not too little).
The first bite makes you put your fork back down and roll your eyes with delight. My friend had the salmon with grits and fried green tomatoes. My (made to order) dish was an omelet with lump crab meat and blackened shrimp. That came with a 3 green salad with a sweet vinaigrette dressing. 2 sides of miniature waffles with lightly powdered sugar arrived with a raspberry drizzle on the plate. (It’s the little things.) We also got a “to-go” dish. The coffee alone was
Ample off-street parking.

A Gluten-Free Haven
I had the pleasure of dining at Miss Shirley’s Cafe in Roland Park, and I was thoroughly impressed. The menu boasted a wide variety of options, making it easy to find something delicious even with dietary restrictions.
My wife, who has a gluten allergy, was particularly pleased. When we placed our order, the manager approached our table to confirm her allergy and ensure that our meal would be prepared safely. It was a refreshing change to have our dietary needs taken so seriously.
The food was fantastic, and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend Miss Shirley’s Cafe for anyone looking for a delicious and accommodating dining experience.

We ate outside and had excellent service. My daughter and I loved the chicken and biscuit omlette. The hubby enjoyed his bagel sandwich. We got an order of waffles too! Looking forward to digging into the doggy bags!

One of my go-to brunch spots! Everything I’ve tasted on the menu is delicious. I absolutely love their fried chicken and biscuits omelette, it’s out of my usual breakfast comfort zone but it was so delicious that it’s all I ever order now. That and a short stack of pancakes. Miss Shirley’s probably has the best pancakes in Baltimore. Consistently sweet and fluffy but slightly crispy on the edges.
Although I always order the same things I’m not shy about trying my friends’ food. The coconut cream French toast is like having dessert for breakfast. Decadent, sweet, with HUGE pieces of brioche. The breakfast sandwich is a savory delight, not huge but enough for a good meal. The bread they put it on is amazing. I’ve also tried their savory chicken and waffles, different from what I usually want out of my chicken and waffles but not bad by any means.
I’m also not a deviled egg person but they’re deviled egg appetizers are amazing. Who knew, all I needed was for it to be covered in other accoutrements for me to enjoy it.
It’s usually packed and busy there but I went for a late brunch the other day around 1:30 and we were seated immediately. Late brunch might be the way to go if you don’t want to wait on seating.

Stopped here on the way to VA, found by Google search. Sides were seasoned very well and tasty. That’s how you cook vegetables. Crab cakes are mouthful. Awesome staff. We will stop by again if we are in the area.

This is the second time I got food from here and it wasn’t good. I don’t usually write reviews but today was worse than before. I use to love Land of Kush. Their crabless cakes and mac and cheese were my favorites. Today I was so disappointed the mac and cheese was not even eatable. It had no flavor whatsoever. The crabless cakes were over cooked and lacked seasoning. I did eat them because they weren’t as bad as the mac and cheese. The greens were bland with hardly no flavor. I don’t think I will be going back after this. I don’t know if it’s new management or what but. I wasted my money today.
Chaneka Howard

This vegan restaurant is awesome. I have not eaten ribs in over 30 years but those vegan ribs were divine! The Mac and cheese and greens were just as amazing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the downtown Baltimore area. I just wish there was adequate seating to eat in but it would not stop me from going back! #blackownedbusiness

The Land of Kush has some really good food. They are the first vegan restaurant I’ve heard about before I made the transition. I go there here and there to get some of their unique dishes.
Denzel R

Decently affordable and delicious vegan food. My entire party was very happy with their meals and I plan to return soon. The Grab & Go is a great, cheap option and the perfect portion for me.
The atmosphere is that of a takeout restaurant and the service was good. It’s a little out of the way via car or on foot but worth it if you’re in need of some affordable, home style vegan food.

We really enjoyed this place. We had the Hobo Eggs, potato pancakes, and Captain Crunch French Toast. All were really good. The French toast is a must have. Service was good. They said it was a 45 minute wait, but we were seated in 15 minutes. It is a small place and you can get in faster if willing to share a table, which we did. I would definitely recommend this place.

I went here very early in the morning I was the first one there. The waitress was very nice I went there just to try cap’n crunch French toast and I will say I wasn’t disappointed at all. It had a rich buttery taste and paired with the maple syrup it was prefect. I didn’t even use the extras on the side but I do wish I would have ordered the short stack instead of the full stack it’s a lot. But I would come back to eat it again

I had heard good things about this cafe in Baltimore so we ordered some breakfast to go. The place is definitely a lively spot and the service is good. We got our food pretty quickly and couldn’t wait to get back to the hotel to eat. We were not disappointed. The portions are large and the food was fresh. We had enough for a couple days. I definitely recommend this spot if you are in the area for dine in or take out. We’ll definitely be back.

Blue Moon is a unique gem in the city that specializes in exotic, flavorful French toast and other breakfast favorites.
The Pina Colada French toast was nothing short of flavor and an exotic aroma. The aroma of the warm bananas with the coconut made me think I had banana pudding.
The Bacon Dippers are perfection. There’s nothing like bacon in your pancake to make the best sweet-salty combo.
The fruit plate had a fantastic variety of fresh fruits. The hobo eggs were enjoyable, but they lacked seasoning. Besides the lack of seasoning, I’d go back and try more French Toast and have another round of the Bacon Dipper. The real hidden gem is their homemade lemonade.
Gus Mill

We happened to be in the area and this spot came across my social media feed! So glad it did, a little hidden gem.
The staff was friendly and the service was quick! The food came out hot and absolutely delicious. My husband and I tried multiple things…. the veggie omelet, the shut the fluff up french toast, the Pina colada french toast, and the g & g scramble. We enjoyed it all so much!
Happy to support a small business and we will be back. ♡

The food was great, but I just have a two issues in specific areas.
1) The garlic fries are just regular fries with raw garlic on them. Now, I really like garlic, but these were a little bit inedible. Even when actively avoiding the garlic, the smallest chunk was an unexpected and quite frankly unpleasant blast of sharp garlic flavor. Garlic + herb infused olive oil drizzle would have been perfect. More even garlic flavor rather than fries with random pockets of garlic.
2) When ordering, I was asked “Do you want green salsa, red salsa, or both?” and I said “Both, but on the side please.” What I received was a bowl with a mixture of the 2. What if I only wanted a little red salsa on one bite and a lot of green salsa on the next? The salsa wasn’t great regardless, so it didn’t matter that much in the grand scheme of things.

Fun decor for the holidays! Everything was great from start to finish. Christian was very helpful and took good care of us. The special drink menu was also really fun with the dreidel spin and fancy sprigs of rosemary. We had a vegan in our party and there were a ton of options for her which felt good.

what more can you say about this place than great vibes and even better food. The Crab Mac is my absolute favorite, you can’t go wrong with any of their specialty drinks, and brunch is equally as unique and delicious as their dinner menu. They also have the iconic smith island cake. I’d highly recommend this gem tucked away in northern B’more.

The food was ok, the appetizers were ok, I had the crab dip with pretzels. The crab meat look like it was pasteurized, it definitely wasn’t Maryland lump. We also had wings and brussel sprouts for appetizers. For dinner, I had the sword fish. The fish was mediocre. The drink was a selzer pomegranate. It was good. The atmosphere was nice and the waiter’s were very attentive.

I went to Wicked Sisters for a lunch meeting. We ate out back on the patio. Very nice atmosphere and the service was good. I only had a salad, but it was delicious. Parking at this location is not plentiful. There is a parking lot next to the restaurant, but you can’t use it.

The best place I ate while visiting Baltimore, no question! I’m guessing it’s a sister restaurant to blue moon cafe because I think the menu was almost identical. This one was closer to the inner harbor area walking-wise to where I was staying which was also great. I ordered the captain crunch French toast. It came quickly and it was absolutely heavenly to eat. My biggest regret is that I couldn’t finish it. The inside was also really fun with spooky-like vibes. Service was great and I hope to go back again!
Amanda

Food was amazing! Ordered a sin bun, it’s pretty big, good size for two. Also ordered the something simple, a fruit plate, and bacon dippers. The fruit plate was very fresh and worth every penny. All delicious and the service was just as great! Would visit again, highly recommended.

Came here on a Monday around 1 and it was super busy. They seemed to be short staffed so there was a bit of a wait to get sat/get drinks but it was worth it. I got the sin roll French toast and it was amazing. My dad and brother both got savory chorizo dishes which were good but my French toast was definitely the best. The decor is also really cool, would recommend if you are looking for a nice brunch place!

Service was good and the food was incredible. Huge menu, I couldn’t decide what to get, something for everyone for sure. Settled on the Blue Moon pancakes and they were so amazing I’m still thinking about them. Definitely the spot for breakfast if you’re in Baltimore.

Love this place, it’s a definite must for breakfast with unique dishes. Our server Shelly was wonderful, open to our small talk and genuinely seemed interested when we had questions. I ordered Julio’s tacos (not Julia’s tacos by the way ha), which had savory chorizo that didn’t spill grease all over the plate, pepper jack cheese, scrambled eggs, and salsa Verde. Man alive were they good! Their water doesn’t have a chlorinated taste to it, also a plus! I also highly recommend the bacon dippers, and pumpkin caramel apple pancakes. Tastes like real caramel, not the trash you buy to put on top of ice cream by Smuckers. I’m excited to come back here to have those tacos again and a fruit plate! I would highly recommend getting here early if you aren’t looking for a long wait because dang, the crowd grows by the minute in the mornings! You will be delighted with anything you order here. Enjoy it!

Lunch on a weekday afternoon took a while, but the food was beautifully plated with care. The Mezze Platter had just the right portion sizes, and lots of samples. The flavors seemed just a little off today, less differentiated between the dishes but I think it was just the day. My dining mate ordered the shawarma and reported it as a little dry but tasty. The hummus was creamy and piquant. The wait person was delightfully friendly and outgoing.

SPICY HUMMUS WAS THE BEST I HAVE HAD we absolutely loved how fresh and lemony it tasted!
We got a pumpkin “pakora” which grew on us as we kept eating (definitely dip in hummus!)
Meshi (zucchini stuffed veggies) was good, honestly good full so couldn’t finish! Was delicious with the sauce at the bottom
Cauliflower was good, had a little bit of a tangy to it, was okay.

This place is absolutely amazing. If you love lamb, they know what they are doing here. The lamb mouzat is the best thing I’ve eaten in a very long time. The fresh made pita and the high quality olive oil with spices warms the soul. Everything I’ve tried here tastes fresh, authentic, high quality and made with care. This is my 3rd day in a row eating here since I’m only in town for work but I will definitely be back every time I’m in Baltimore.

From the moment you step into this establishment, you’re greeted with an enticing aroma that promises a culinary journey like no other. Each dish is a masterpiece, meticulously crafted to tantalize the taste buds and leave a lasting impression. However, while the flavors are undeniably exceptional, the pace of service can be a drawback. Despite the efforts of a dedicated but understaffed team, wait times can stretch frustratingly long, testing the patience of even the most eager diners. Yet, amidst the hustle and bustle, the restaurant’s spacious and inviting ambiance offers a refuge, inviting guests to unwind and savor the experience. Despite the occasional hiccup in service, the overall dining experience is one to remember, making it a destination worth recommending to friends and family alike.

Very good food. We had a selection of Mezze, and it was excellent. Server was very good as well. Very quiet when we visited at 4 o’clock in the afternoon. Would definitely recommend.
