So this was my first time at the Power Plant. A group of ️‍ us came for happy hour/ karaoke. We were at the Bait Beer Garden. Now Friday night was very cold and you would think that the establishment would want their customers to be comfortable with dining and enjoying the entertainment. That was far from the truth. Everyone even the staff were walking around with hayt and coats on as they were serving you. That doesn’t give comfortable to me. If your staff isn’t comfortable then they cannot efficiently service your guess properly. So myself and another customer sitting at the bar. Ordered the same thing chicken strips and fries. When our food arrived being delivered by your waitress in a coat and hat. Our food was just as cold as she was. I put in a request of the bartenders to go and get the manager for me. Ms Adriana the manager that was there Friday night cam. Her body language spoke volumes to us. I ask Ms Adrian does she not see how her customers and her staff are so uncomfortable in this environment. Can she possibly close the front doors and turn the heat on. She looked at me with this smug look with a drink in her hand and says. “The heat is on and I cannot control it. It’s completely out of my power I’m sorry” I said I understand you’re telling me it’s on but it’s evident to your customers and your staff that it’s not enough it’s insufficient for the weather we’re having tonight and the door is closed. And I said then where is the consistent cold wind coming from, maybe from the kitchen where my cold food came out of. She walks away as tho I was bothering her. The DJ kept hyper drink make sure you get your drinks. Take care of your bartenders and they’re going to take care of you.! To keep his spot he is going to promote drunkenness because drunk people are unaware of unacceptable customer service and deplorable environments. This establishment gets nothing else from me.

Conveniently downtown, but outside, so weather permitting it’ll be a good time. Sound could use a fine tuning.

Fantastic atmosphere and service. We stepped in just to take in the vibe and ended up sticking around for a while thanks to the awesome staff. Live music, Ravens game on the tv, and multiple areas with varying aesthetics. Food portions are a little small for the price, but otherwise this place is perfect. Our new favorite bar in the entire Fells/Canton area.

Have been wanting to come here for a couple of years, and happy I finally stopped in. The place is very clean, spacious, and AWESOME drinks. I think the stools are creative and comfortable; just maybe a bit dangerous if hammered! Food portion is decent, tasted fresh and nice I shall return, and it will not be in years or months… it shall be much sooner.

Live music all day and night. It was very quiet during the early afternoon, but very pleasant and entertaining. The cocktails were fantastic. I will try the food on my next visit. They do have merch to purchase. Cool hats and T shirts. Can’t wait to go back again.

Came here from Jersey for the Indigo De Souza concert and it was amazing!! The venue was small and intimate and everyone who works here is so sweet! Our bartender Grant was very efficient and kind! Made the best drinks all night! Also shoutout to Randy (stage name “Candy”) for also having such great energy! Overall, the entire experience was memorable, comfortable, and easy-going. Highly recommend for a chill and exciting night out! The music in the bar/club upstairs was fire and the vibe was perfect! Whether you are in town or from out-of-town definitely check this place out!!!

My husband purchased tickets for a concert at this venue. I am 5 months pregnant and I was sad that I probably wouldn’t be able to go, because I wouldn’t have a place to sit. I reached out to Otto Bar to see if they could accommodate me with a seat so I could go and enjoy the show. They so graciously told me they’d be more than happy to accommodate me with a table and chairs not only for me but for my husband, too!! It literally was the best seat in the house and we enjoyed ourselves!!! Thank you so much Ottobar!!! We will be back!

We came here for dinner and a show and we loved it! We got seated right away. The menu was good with plenty of food and drink options. Our server was very attentive and took care of us. Food came fast and was delicious. The atmosphere was lively and the act for the night had everyone clapping. We’ll definitely come here to see more shows again in the future. I definitely recommend checking thos spot out if in Baltimore. Get tickets ahead of time for the show.

After disappointing food (salmon & catch of the day) but incredible music on our last visit, we’ve decided to stick to the simple burgers. It was absolutely the right choice—the meat was juicy, and the fries were crispy. It was also reasonably priced! We had a great view of the stage, which elevated the experience even more. The atmosphere, the clientele, and the musicians were just amazing as usual. Keystone Korner is a must-visit for any jazz lover in the city. Just make sure to get a seat with a good view (many seats don’t) and stay away from their fish dishes.

I came here on my birthday, and it was everything I knew it would be and more. It was nice to get there early to order my food and drinks. I didn’t realize there would be other people at our table, but they made us aware as soon as we got to there. We know how to purchase our tickets now if we want to sit alone. There was a 2 item minimum per person. We paid for premium seats so we were close enough to the stage. I has some type of punch which was strong but tasted good so it was well made. I ordered Salmon, it was pretty good. The wings were delicious and the Brussel sprouts were sooooo good. Hunter was my server and she made sure I had a good time for birthday and I appreciate that. Oh and let me not forget to mention the butter cake if you have room for desert that’s the one for you. Jeanette Harris’s performance but top tier, she walked around playing the sax, she stayed after for picture opportunities. It was just a beautiful evening and I can’t wait to come back

This jazz club in Baltimore’s Harbor East is excellent. They bring in well-known and local artists. There is a touch of elegance and class to the establishment yet it also has a casual vibe as well. There was a local band playing and some of the musicians were students from Peabody. The food was good and hot the spot and a decent selection of drinks. If a fan of Jazz highly recommended.

Can’t recommend this enough! We finally booked tickets and are so glad we did. Nicole and Spencer are amazing and very talented. We arrived early and brought food before the show started. Although we didn’t have cocktails they looked amazing. The show was incredible. The tricks Spencer performed were truly mind blowing and I still can’t figure out how he did all of them. The money is so worth it! You have to book weeks in advance!

I don’t know if Spencer ripped off Patrick Jane or vice versa?????One hell of a great time. My girlfriend and I headed to Baltimore for no reason other that it was nearly 2 weeks since I traveled somewhere. I like to see and experience life. I spent a hour or so researching things to do while in town and came across Illusions. I prefer to support small business. Lets say I choose well. We had an amazing time. Spencer fully engages the crowd from start to finish. I believe he interacted with every member of the audience at some point. Highly recommended for couples or groups.

I saw Spencer at a charity event years ago and have been meaning to find the time to go see his show. My only regret is not going sooner! Absolutely hysterical and stunning how he does some of those tricks right in front of you. Seems unbelievable. A lot of “how the hell did he do that?” moments. So yesterday was the 20 years dating anniversary for my husband and I. I planned this date out with this show being the center of our day. My husband said “this is the best date he has ever been on”. So fun and the drinks are so yummy! Thank you Spencer and Nicole. Definitely planning a group date night in the future!

I first came here in 2008, while I was staying in Baltimore for a month for a work project. It quickly became my favorite place. Whenever I stop in Baltimore now, I come here to check out a band. Great place, great vibe great music, and great employees! You can tell that Morgan really cares about the place and the people that work there! A hidden gem for sure!

Some of the depictions of this place are disingenuous, bordering on thinking that it’s some sort of sleaze joint.. it’s not. That would be the Mount Royal Tavern
Is Cats Eye packed? Yes it is
Is the music always good? Yes it is
And the music starts early and ends late… One of the few places down there that still does that.

I might note, and could be wrong – but I believe this establishment location is the oldest tavern in Baltimore / Fells point.

Humorously, it is noted that many barks and brigantines were built in Fells Point that actually became the terror of the Caribbean several hundred years ago, when England and France were at it.
Yep.
We here in Baltimore? We are the original Pirates of the Caribbean

And yes, I do honestly believe that there are ghosts in Fells Point…

I love this spot! It has a speakeasy vibe with the large metal door and doorbell. It is calm, and cozy. The night I went they had live music which was a vibe. I love the low lighting and the unique decor in this bar. It has these fun hot air balloon shaped chairs. The waiter was really chill and personable. He was kind enough to grab this amazing cider from their sister restaurant. They have a vast expanse of liquor selections. I will be coming back! 🙂

Pros: Beautiful relaxing atmosphere with a speakeasy historic vibe. Decent food with moderate prices. Nice choice of handcrafted cocktails. Clean They have live music many nights and that music as well as the radio music is at a good volume… not too loud and not so quiet you think you are hearing things!

Cons: Service – Host and waitstaff is a hit or miss. I find some staff to be rather short in temper borderline condescending or rude, while others are the opposite. Furthermore, you may wait for 20 minutes to get waited on when the place is mostly empty, or you may get service immediately. In my opinion, for the price you pay here and what it is supposed to be, one should not have to wait more than 5 minutes to be waited on and all staff needs to respect customers. I do not like to use names here and call out waitstaff 🙂 I just hope that management will discuss their manner and work ethic with all staff to ensure that customers are getting the best experience possible.

Drinks – The drinks are not always prepared the same; sometimes you get a nice strong well made drink, other times, as other reviewers have said, the drinks are watered down. One drink that I had tasted it was literally almost like water with a dash of orange juice!

Long story short with the negatives, there is a lack of consistency with service and drinks 🙂 It should be spot on every time.

I walked in at 11:14 pm and was told it would be an hour wait which was very reasonable and expected. I called the restaurant at 12:00am to provide a backup number in case my phone died. I was told we were taken off the list because someone “called” which they did not. I was then told we could not be seated because there was no room for us. Because my party had been waiting outside, I simply walked into the restaurant and requested to speak to a manager to try to salvage my husband’s birthday. The manager explained that it must have been a miscommunication. I know in America, someone like me and my family aren’t wanted. Now that I am aware I know better and will not be returning to a place where I’m not welcome. Nice waiter though.

First of all, this is a hidden treasure. Just as in a treasure hunt, you will have to hunt for it. My first picture shows the entrance to assist in your search. Totally worth it. We are visiting and I’m an outdoorsman and therefore was attracted to the name. This speakeasy is really warm, cozy and eclectic. Seating is curious as you have many options for the type of seat. Staff was very knowledgeable and you truly felt served rather than waited. We had the duck confit which was essentially a taco but they used a crepe. Really neat. They also gave us a complimentary truffle fries since there was a slight wait for our food. The cocktails are extremely unique in every way. $20 each regardless of choice. Bourbon selection is astounding. Was able to sample Weller 12. They had all of the big names to choose from as well. If we are staying in the area in the future, we will be back!

I…love…Amari….let’s just get that out into the open. I can’t say the atmosphere is what I expected walking in, but it was certainly something to remember, haha. I won’t go too much into it, because the other reviews are pretty spot on, but it felt like a time-warp and it was truly immersive. Dark, old-timey, and candle lit, I loved it. The experience alone is worth the visit (clever owners). The vibe was chill yet active, if that makes sense. It was quite populated for a Tuesday night, but I was still able to have a delightful conversation with my mates. I am afraid I failed to get the names of the bartenders, but they were a dynamic team possessing a wealth of knowledge when asked about the offerings. Feel confident that you will be served by people who know their craft and the spirits they serve, which is nice, because not just anyone knows Amaro and Amari like the truly initiated.

The cocktails were exceptional. I had ordered the Fragola ‘75 and the Vegetable Garden Amaro Flight. Beautiful and delicious, I would recommend both. I also had the opportunity to sample the cocktails the rest of my party had ordered, and I can say there wasn’t a bad one in the bunch. You do not have to be a lover of the bitter, herbaceous, aromatic, and sweet Amaro Liqueur to fall in love with these drinks. They were balanced and well thought out. As I mentioned before, exceptional.
The flights were well curated and, when ordered, a delightful way to experience the unique flavors and aromas Amari have to offer. It’s a great place to educate yourself or experiment with a date (romantic, platonic, or otherwise).

I would happily visit again the next time I am in the Baltimore area, and whether or not you have a love of Amari, I would highly recommend you make the time to stop by.

Walked in and it was like I was transported to a different time period – will definitely go back for date night. The drinks were well crafted and looked beautiful.

We popped in here on a visit and the place was awesome. Loved the dark/candlight vibe, the cocktails were extremely well crafted, and the service was great.

I’ve been on a recent quest to check out all the speakeasy style cocktail bars in Baltimore. W.C. Harlan is a cute speakeasy style cocktail bar. There’s only a sign outside that says “Enter” so it’s a blink and you’ll miss it kind of place. Parking is street parking you’ll have to find.

It’s a very small place with bar seating and some tables in the back. I tried going on a Saturday night once and it was too crowded for me and I didn’t stay but some people might like it crowded. I came back during the week and it was much more cozy and intimate. The place is only lit by candlelight which is really cool. Most people were there either with close friends or on a date.

This is a cocktail only bar, no food. You have to order at the bar and pick up the drink yourself if you are sitting by a table. They make craft cocktails with high quality ingredients. I really like the barware and glasses they used for the drinks. I got to try the pisco sour, traditional daiquiri, and amaretto sour. The amaretto sour wasn’t on the menu but the bartender gladly made me one. It was my favorite drink. I think this establishment’s real draw is it’s Amaro selection. I didn’t try it this time but they have a huge Amaro selection and Amaro flights so you can taste different ones. The price range for drinks was about $10-$20.

The only thing I didn’t like is that even though I had to order the drinks at the bar and pick them up myself, they have a 20% automatic gratuity on all drinks. I like to tip but at that high percentage, for already expensive drinks, they should at least bring the drinks to you even if you order at the bar. This automatic gratuity is mentioned on the menu.

Bluebird Cocktail Lounge is still my favorite speakeasy style cocktail bar in Baltimore but overall I had a good time at W.C. Harlan. The drinks were good and I would go back.

Waited 35 minutes for 2 drinks to be made. I’ve never seen sticky notes used to keep track of orders…No surprise our order was lost. 30 minutes in we asked for the status of our drinks and the bartender didn’t even recall taking our order.

The staff need to be less chaotic and simply keep track of their own orders.

I recently visited this lounge, and it was my second or third time there. When I arrived, the bar was full, so I was directed to sit at the back since there was no space at the bar. I took a seat and waited around 10 minutes without any staff approaching me to take an order or offer a menu. The atmosphere was quiet—no music playing—so I asked a passing staff member if there would be any music that day, and he assured me a DJ was coming.

After waiting longer without any attention, I asked someone passing by if he worked there. He didn’t, but he kindly offered to find someone who could help. He asked a staff member nearby, who seemed unsure about the situation. After a total of 15 minutes waiting with no menu or service, I decided to leave, feeling disappointed by the lack of attention to customer service.

It’s unfortunate, as I was looking forward to a good experience here, but the service left me feeling overlooked and unappreciated.

We celebrated a few birthdays and Kymme was the best. The cabbage was hot as heck with so much pepper on it. We had a great time and next time I know to ask to have a section away from the door. The drinks were good. Kymme ran the entire bar, took food orders and ran the mic with minimal assistance.

I recently went there on October 4th with my brother that just arrived from Nigeria . We ordered food and wasn’t told that the FISH was sold out. They brought us BEEF which we don’t eat. Then once l noticed how dark the meat was l said to them please take back and refund me my money. Ha that’s when the problem started. Then they said ha he has fried WHITING FISH
I told them NO we don’t want. Then the cook wants to explain which he should’ve been done when he knew he didn’t have what we ordered. THEY WOULD NOT REFUND ANY MONEY BACK. I ONLY RECEIVE JOLLOF RICE, VEGETABLES AND PLANTAINS. SPENT $76 to be TREATED BY OUR OWN PPLS. DO NOT GO HERE VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

The owner sucks so bad went there for the FIRST time ever yesterday and literally kept touching me to come down and telling me I can’t request a song? And based me off my skin color b/c I’m Hispanic saying I will sue him if I fall? That isn’t true at all and very disrespectful and disgusting don’t go there if you wanna be judged and the owner to put his hands on you thinking it’s okay our bartender was amazing though

Bar service was slow despite there being a minimal amount of people and the food service was even slower. All seating except the back bar was either reserved or taken. DJ was great. There was a fight but security said that never happens. They also offer hookah, but we didn’t get to try it… Despite a somewhat negative experience, I’d go back again.

This place was recommended by my parents who live close by so we decided to check it out. We found a parking garage near the venue with free parking and lots of parking spots open. It was on Park St. just past the Ruth’s Chris steakhouse.

My husband and I arrived around 8:30pm as we wanted to come see the band that was slated to start at 9:30pm. The place was mostly empty for a Saturday night, but I did enjoy that we were able to pick wherever we wanted and ended up at a booth close to the stage.

The waiter came quickly to greet us and provide the food and drink menu. We ordered two lemon drop shots, a Kentucky kool-aid, a Lynchburg lemonade, and an order of their loaded tots with extra ranch. She did check IDs and then started a tab for us. The drinks arrived within 5 minutes of ordering them. The tots took about 15 minutes to arrive. The tots were smaller than I was expecting for $10.00 and a personal preference was that I wish I asked for the ranch on the side. However, I enjoyed the loaded tots and would order again. I then ordered The Hugo drink in the normal size as they also offer an option that is 32oz. It was made well, but I think I leaned more towards the Kentucky kool-aid. My husband then ordered a Salty watermelon which the waiter said was her favorite drink. It tastes like the watermelon sour patches.

Around 9:15pm, workers started to breakdown the three high top tables near the stage to prepare for the band to start at 9:30pm. The workers also cleared the chairs around the bar that were closest to the stage and asked those people to find new seats.

The band was scheduled to start at 9:30pm and started only a couple minutes after 9:30pm. As someone who enjoys timeliness, I appreciated there wasn’t a delay in the start.

Once the band had started, the waiter still stopped by our table to check on us and ask for drink orders. I ordered a dirty Shirley and noticed it was no longer in a branded plastic cup. That may be because it wasn’t a drink off their menu. My husband ordered a Tennessee Tea and we both did enjoy the taste. The last drink ordered of the night was the Blackberry Bramble. It was not my cup of tea and I enjoyed some of the other drinks I had earlier in the night. When the waiter brought our receipt, she did not bring the itemized recipe so I was unable to see the breakdown of the items we ordered that were not directly listed on the menu. Our total for the night including tip was at $100.

Crowds started to pick up closer to 10:15pm and there was a mix of age groups in attendance on this night with a large of number between 21-30 year olds. Keep in mind that this venue is located to the University of South Carolina.

The bathrooms were what I expected at the type of venue and had signs telling folks not to flush small bottles. However, they were still cleaner than I expected.

We left around 10:45pm and noticed that they did have a bouncer set up outside the main entrance to check IDs and a potential cover charge, but I am not sure the cost. They did have ropes up ready to regulate if the crowds got larger.

I think it was a smart choice to have the bar in the middle of the venue with access on all sides to place drink orders. I did notice while I was there that they use a lot of single use plastic from the cups to the silverware.

My suggestion is for them to consider more appetizer or adding a small bites section for their menu, especially if many people may only come for the music and drinks. It would be helpful to have more smaller food options to pair with alcohol drinks.

Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would definitely come back in the future.

We played our first show ever at Tin Roof and it’s always a pleasure to return! The staff has always treated us like family & the food is great. The loaded tots & nachos are our favorites. We always stop in when we are downtown, even if we’re not playing. We would definitely recommend Tin Roof to anyone looking to grab a bite or drink and check out live music.

Great atmosphere indoors and outdoors. The bartender was friendly, and I came here two nights in a row while on short vacation. Lots of old school games. Missed the karaoke night, I guess I’ll have to come back for another mini vacation . Highly recommend, food was also really good. Burgers were better than most places.

Food was actually pretty good here, not the best I’ve ever had but 4 star worthy. It’s weird that you go up to the bar to order your food because it takes a while to get your order taken if they’re helping people with drinks and such, food didn’t take too long to get. I would visit again for good bar food. Overall the experience was pretty good
