I'm convinced that Jill is a legit miracle worker and if you need any alterations done to any of your garments, especially a wedding dress, do not hesitate to entrust her with them. I had fallen in love with my wedding dress seven years before I got married, and by the time that rolled around the only one left in existence was the sample size 4 (let's be real, it was more like a size 0) that the model wore in photos. I reached out to Jill prior to purchasing to give her a general idea of my nowhere near size 0 measurements, and she eased my concerns and assured me that we would be able to make it work. And boy, did she deliver! I felt incredible, and comfortable, on my wedding day in the dress of my dreams thanks to Jill. Not to mention she is also an extremely supportive, fun, and encouraging person to be around! And her studio space is divinely charming as well. She is uber talented, and I even ended up purchasing some gorgeous Swarovski crystal earrings she created that I wore on the big day (and will wear for other occasions for many years to come). The beautifully appointed atelier, located in the Hampden neighborhood of Baltimore has a beautiful selection of high end costume and fine jewelry, millinery, bridal accessories, and handbags. Jill is an incredible artist. I came to her with a dress and a dream. She waved her magic wand and brought that dream to life. I think my mother actually referred to her as my "Fairy Godmother" throughout the planning process. When we came to her studio for the first time, she encouraged me to wander around, try pieces on, figure out what inspired me. Everything in her studio sparkles in the sun in the most magical way. I felt like a little kid playing in my mother's jewelry box. As I talked, she sketched. Although I had the dress in hand, and an idea of what I wanted the end results to be, I was overwhelmed by all of the possibilities. I would need alterations and accessories and a wonderfully creative talent to take the reins. Did I mention that I also lived across the country while planning this wedding so we were limited on time and fittings? Yes, I presented quite the challenge, but she delivered just as I knew she would. Jill created a custom head piece, along with a belt, and a floor length veil. We selected a pair of gold and Labradorite earrings from her collection, which completed the look. I can't stress enough that I'm not a girly girl. I'm a photographer. I stay behind the scenes wherever possible, but on my wedding day I sparkled in the sun in the most magical way. I owe that to Jill Andrews.

I’m so glad I chose to work with Jill for my custom wedding dress. I can’t imagine having worn anything other than the dress she made, which was so detailed and personal. Jill is kind, warm, and welcoming. She asked thoughtful questions about what I wanted and listened thoughtfully, even when I wasn’t quite sure myself. She helped me articulate my dream dress: I said I wanted to feel like myself, and to be able to move freely. Jill saw my vision and delivered so perfectly, almost as if she anticipated my needs before I even knew them. At my fittings, Jill made me feel like I was at home. She is knowledgeable and body inclusive. She knew the shapes and structures that would best complement my body and made adjustments to ensure that I was always comfortable in the corset. In fact, I was so comfortable that I still wish I could wear my dress every day! It was the first garment I’ve ever worn that I felt truly fit me. Jill’s studio has a magical atmosphere, and she is the fairy godmother to match. She goes above and beyond for her clients and I am so thankful for the careful, loving work that she put into my dress. Because of Jill, I felt beautiful and confident at my wedding, and every bride deserves that.

Jill is amazing! I am so happy I came to her for my dress alterations. She was so welcoming from the get-go & communicative throughout the entire process. My original gown did not have a train, but Jill added a small one to it which looked beautiful. She also knew I was hiking outside in my gown so she added a pin-up bustle that was so useful! I loved working with Jill and would recommend her to anyone! On top of that, her studio is so bright and beautiful.
