The museum is $15.00 unless you have a NPS Park Pass. It is a short walk to the fort once you leave the museum. Parking was fine when I was there. I did see an overflow area in case it was full though. The bathrooms are right before you enter the museum to the left.
The gift shop is a nice stop for any souvenirs. There is a theater which plays a live action movie of what went on during the battle. It was about ½ hour, but it was very informative. Seating was limited as I got there just after it started and had to stand. At the end, they sing the Star Spangled Banner and the movie screen goes up. You get a panoramic view and the American flag at the fort. Awe inspiring to say the least.
After the song, the screen comes back down and the lights come back on. There are several exhibits to check out before heading to the fort. On the right backside of the building is a statue of Francis Scott Key. Once outside, it is a short walk up to the fort.

Great presentation and helpful information to learn about war of 1812.
They have a lot of artifacts and timeline oraganized in a way that it was easy to follow what happened.
There are short movies to explain the war more in details. It was good to know how this place hasel evolved before, during and after the war. It was interesting to see how it became a hospital after the war
I would recommend checking the website first to see if you can go during their free admission day

Very interesting monument. I wish the actual American flag the flew was there but it's in a Smithsonian in DC. We did the audio self guided tour. We only had an hour to spend befor our flight but it was well worth it.

The fort is well maintained and had lots of history to take in. It also has a great view of the water. Make sure to start out by watching the video at the entrance building.
