2024: it is always a good time at Black-Eyed Susan and Preakness. Rain or shine this event is one of my faves in Maryland. Can’t wait for next year’s 150th Preakness…it should be epic. Pilmico I know you are aging but please hold it together for next year. Thanks team

Very interesting. I was here today to do cellular testing before the Preakness. It’s really amazing how much goes into the preparation of the race. Especially since the actual race itself only lasts 2 minutes

Frist time working the Preakness and it was awesome. I met a lot of wonderful people. The guest were superbly dressed and the view was spectacular. Pictures are from tours of Pimlico. I’ll be back next year for the 150th run. Come join me there is so much to do. Eat, dance, shop, bet on horses, listen to music, watch live entertainment, meet beautiful people dressed to impress ( The hats were so beautiful, colorful and different; one of a kind display of art). You can vist the stables and tour the track to see horses walk and get bathed. It is truly an amazing experience.

I truly enjoyed myself at Black Eyed Susan Day. The atmosphere was great. They help you learn how to place bets, collect wins and the networking among successful and likeminded people are endless. The food and drink menus depend on what sections you’re in from okay to delicious, so don’t cheat yourself by being cheap you’re paying for the experience. It was an awesome event. I definitely recommend to go if you’ve never been.

2nd leg of the Triple Crown is probably the most festive site! Live entertainment and filled with “who’s who” during Preakness weekend. Arrive early because parking is pretty limited.

Not very informative, but nice looking building, clean bathrooms, friendly people, charging station.

They have cancellation stamps for National Park Passport fans.

Parking is difficult if you try to drive here but when walking from harbor east around the inner harbor it’s a nice place to stop before you turn around and head back.

I have nothing but positive things to say about our recent experience with Urban Pirates. All too often as parents, outings with our kids fall into a derivative pattern of playground, park, or playground-disguised-as-a-museum. Getting out onto Baltimore Harbor with Urban Pirates was a true adventure. The actors were committed to their roles and kept the children rapt and engaged. I highly encourage parents to consider an Urban Pirates cruise whenever visiting Baltimore!

We had a great time! The crew was fun and kept the kids entertained, but didn’t pressure them to join in if they just wanted to enjoy the boat ride (my kids ). They had a fun storyline to the adventure and my kids loved the water cannons and treasure at the end.

Me and my grandparents attended the family experience, and we booked through Groupon. The show was definitely intended towards young kids, but it was also perfect for my old grandparents (who have dementia). The price through Groupon was great for the show, and I definitely would recommend!

This was a really cute experience for kids and a nice way to see Baltimore! The pirates themselves were really fun and interactive. We had toddlers and infants with us, and though they were a little intimidated to join for the activities they still told us, “that was so fun!” when we were leaving! They especially loved choosing treasure from the treasure chest 🙂 Strollers are permitted and I do recommend bringing them if you have little ones as there is not a ton of shade and the seating doesn’t all have backs. There is a restroom on board and a smaller shaded area. I don’t think any food or drinks are available once you’re on the ship but they have water available for purchase prior to boarding. You spend about 30 minutes of boarding activities then probably 45 minutes or so cruising on the water. The pirates aboard have activities the whole family can do (pass the coconut, limbo, etc) but you don’t have to partake if that’s not your style. On a Saturday, finding parking was a little tricky so I’d recommend giving yourself at least 20 minutes to find parking and walk to the boat. Overall, a fun and cute way to show your kids Baltimore! The adults particularly loved seeing the skyline and buildings along the harbor!

The best part about ghost tours are the extra history lessons and the ones we heard tonight were so interesting. The tour guide, John @johnghostguide, was so fun, personable and interesting. Only four of us stayed for the extended and we are so glad we did! We saw more cool places and heard great stories. The tour never felt rushed and I never felt the stories were embellished. The museum is $15.00 unless you have a NPS Park Pass. It is a short walk to the fort once you leave the museum. Parking was fine when I was there. I did see an overflow area in case it was full though. The bathrooms are right before you enter the museum to the left.

The gift shop is a nice stop for any souvenirs. There is a theater which plays a live action movie of what went on during the battle. It was about ½ hour, but it was very informative. Seating was limited as I got there just after it started and had to stand. At the end, they sing the Star Spangled Banner and the movie screen goes up. You get a panoramic view and the American flag at the fort. Awe inspiring to say the least.

After the song, the screen comes back down and the lights come back on. There are several exhibits to check out before heading to the fort. On the right backside of the building is a statue of Francis Scott Key. Once outside, it is a short walk up to the fort.

Great presentation and helpful information to learn about war of 1812.

They have a lot of artifacts and timeline oraganized in a way that it was easy to follow what happened.

There are short movies to explain the war more in details. It was good to know how this place hasel evolved before, during and after the war. It was interesting to see how it became a hospital after the war

I would recommend checking the website first to see if you can go during their free admission day

Carnival Glory!!! Great time. More adult parties, bars, casino etc. my teens 13 and 15. 13yr old was bit more shy so just stuck with us walking around or just wanted to hang in room and get room service. 15yrold went to the teen club area made friends and walked around til her curfew. She had more fun. But they both loved to spend our money… I didn’t know we could have took on cases of pop or we would have. Pepsi is like 4.25 a can. But it is what it is. We still enjoyed ourselves. The gift shops didn’t open til like 5pm which was a bummer for us early morning risers. Like me, my husband, mother in law, and our 2 kids were up everyday by 5/6am so other than go down and get breakfast there wasn’t open. Yeah pools were and arcade but no shops. So we were usually bit bored in mornings til later on in day. But other than that still had a blast. Our state room guy was amazing. It’s crazy that these workers can remember names for as many guests as they get. But he always had a smile on his face and greeted us every time we passed him. We went to Bimini Island which was smaller than Nassau but we enjoyed the Ocean and sites and shopping there. We would definitely go again but invite other family to go if they can find the money so we have more to hang with and our kids mainly our youngest had her cousins to hang with. But definitely fun.

My wife, my two young daughters (4 and 8) and myself went on a cruise that left from Baltimore.

What a fantastic vacation that will be remembered.

Pulling up to the ship is a beautiful spectacular. Boarding the ship is a lot more streamlined from what I remember it being years ago. I think it took about an hour or less to park, load up luggage and get through customs to enter the ship. Wasn’t bad at all especially with two young children. It just builds up the suspense for everyone.

Now, the only chaotic time is when you first board the ship. Every single person has the same idea. Go to the top deck or go to where the food is. It is very chaotic but don’t let this turn you off. It’s only that first few hours as everyone is in the same situation, waiting for luggage, etc. So it’s a bit crowded when you first board the ship.

We left on the Carnival Pride and when entering you get a grand view of the lobby, They’re playing music. You see towering ceilings that go up several stories. It’s a great visual and a fun experience.

By the morning of day 2 everything is much more chill and calmer. People are on different schedules. We didn’t have any issues finding a table to sit and eat breakfast, lunch or dinner going forward.

Exploring the ship is fun. They have shops, an arcade, casino, candy shop, etc. Tons of stuff to explore. We saw several shows which are no additional cost. They were great and my 8 year old daughter loved them. We played bingo which was an extra cost but super fun. They had a build a bear workshop that we did twice.

Food was yummy. We did the sit down restaurant for dinner a couple of times in the evenings.

The first stop was Nassau which was pretty. But very touristy as it’s mostly shops. There was excursions that you could do though. We chose not to though.

The second stop was Half Moon Kay and, Carnivals private island and it was absolutely breathtaking. White sandy beaches, crystal clear water. You take a smaller boat from the cruise ship to the island. All a fun experience. Swimming in the water we saw fish. We had an absolute blast. I recommend renting an umbrella for your seating and get a float mat. It’s worth it. We stayed the entire time on the beach until last call to get off. lol. It was that good. And believe me, last year we went to Ocean City for our family vacation and my kids complained about the beach. The water was very rough with rough waves. Everything was calm at the Private Beach at Half Moon Kay. It’s like it was out of a movie.

Third day we went to Freeport which was like the first stop. Excursions and tourist shops. We didn’t even end up leaving the ship and just had a relax and swim day on the boat.

If they had a cruise that was 2 days on the water, 3 days at Half Moon Kay, 2 days on the water back, I’d do that cruise in a heart beat!!!! 🙂

We will be doing a cruise again but I think we will try a more luxury ship Carnival has in their fleet.

Oh, I almost forgot. They had a splash zone for the little ones and water slides. My kids enjoyed both!

Overall, it was a successful family vacation. We loved it. And the crew absolutely couldn’t be nicer. They are always smiling, happy, talking to you, cleaning. The staff was beyond friendly. I can’t say that enough. They really seem to care about giving you the best time and experience you can possibly get. Great job Carnival. That really does matter with the experience!

And the last thing I want to add, your prices for things on the ship is very respectable. Please keep that going for people. Please. The gift shops, the build-a-bear experience, the alcoholic drinks, etc. They were all right there in line with costs whether you were on a cruise vacation or not. That’s one thing that I noticed. There isn’t price gouging.

Do not book with this cruise line!!
was set to take sail on my carnival cruise line on 12/12/2024. However, I was inquiring on the website the pricing to add two more guests. (Approximately 2 days ago)
I paid for my cruise in FULL in October for two guests but wanted to see the pricing for additional guests.
Apparently the request was submitted by their system without all information being entered.

Today, I received an email at 1:01pm stating that I was at risk for cancellation if a payment wasn’t made within one business day (as seen in the attached document). So I called them at approximately 6pm (5 hours after they sent their email) they stated that my cruise has been canceled already and the cruise is fully booked and will not be able to receive a refund. I asked them how is this possible if I just received this email 5 hours ago, requiring a deadline of one business day that hasn’t pasted. They stated that it does not matter, that that email was sent out as a courtesy( per Jessica) . They also stated that have sent me an email prior to cancellation but are unable to verify the email with me. The only email I have received was the one attached. Im just shocked that I didn’t get proper notification and that they sent a false email out with wrong deadlines and they sold my cabin while also refusing to give me a refund.
I still haven’t received an email stating that my cruise was cancelled.
Also one of call representatives violated HIPPA laws by disclosing that I had Covid and tried to cancel previously due to that reason. I didn’t authorize for my health condition to be broadcasted, and thrown in my face after the fact.

I even tried to switch to a different ship, they were unable to accommodate that! They literally robbed me.

I have contacted federal maritime about this issue because I’m sure this has to be illegal.

Jessica was extremely unhelpful and rude.
I will never book another carnival cruise again.

Best cruise terminal on the east coast. Very efficient in and out. Lots of help outside and inside. Parking in a paid parking lot can take up to one hour, if you arrive at the peak time, since you pay for parking going into the lot. If you get a ride to the terminal porters are awaiting in front to take your luggage. Within 30 minutes or less you are through customs and on the ship! Just as fast getting off the ship. Between the terminal and the parking lot is a trailer and bathrooms to use while you are waiting for your ride or just use the bathroom before or after getting on the ship. There are also bathrooms in the terminal at the front left side. There are plenty of super nice and helpful parking and terminal workers to assist with directions, etc. This place is highly organized, clean and traveler friendly. Carnival Cruise Lines and Customs also fall in this same friendly category. This terminal in Baltimore does it right and is also handicap and disabled friendly too.

I really enjoyed the Watermark Harbor Cruise of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. The views from the ship were great! I’ve been to the Inner Harbor area many times over the last decade. I highly recommend anyone visiting the area to definitely do the tour. I will definitely do one of the other tours available the next time I vacation in Baltimore.

Customer Reviews
The cruise was fantastic — 10 out of 10! Captain Bobby and his mate Adam were very welcoming and accommodating to all of our requests. They are students of the history of the Baltimore Harbor pointing out many interesting facts about the facilities in the Harbor both past and present. Definitely recommend the cruise to others interested and would like to go again. Attached is a picture of Ft. McHenny from the boat.

Captain Bobby and his First Mate Adam were absolutely wonderful from beginning to end! Communication was great throughout the entire time on the water. So much fun and relaxing along with an excellent evening of sailing on a beautiful and comfortable boat.

We highly recommend it and will certainly be back again for another cruise.

We’d rate 6 stars if possible! Captain Bobby & Adam were incredible, helpful and made our sunset cruise an amazing trip. This was our first time chartering in our home Baltimore and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend

This is so much more than a boat ride around the Baltimore harbor. My sister, brother in law, boyfriend and I had an amazing time. I recently moved here and wanted to plan a surprise activity for my sister. This was perfect. Great communication with Captain Bobby earlier in the day regarding possibility of rain. The Captain and First Mate Adam are so friendly and funny. We asked a ton of questions about what we were seeing in the harbor, history of Baltimore, even pirates. Capt. Bobby is legit a hilarious historian and natural story teller, but also will give you space to do your own thing if you don’t want his awesome info. I would recommend Sail Local to anyone who likes a good time. Honestly will probably go again in the future.
