Ms Katherine is sooo impressive, her class is organized and structured. She always follows up with material and information as promised. She understands music ans is teaching my daughter so much like reading music and breathing. I look forward to being with her for years to come.

Baltimore School of Music is a wonderful and supportive place to learn an instrument! My son has been taking piano lessons here for over two years and his teacher, Emily, has helped him develop a true love for playing. She incorporates music theory and fun into the lessons, which he loves. I can’t recommend this place strongly enough.
Jennifer Johnson

Our family’s experience with Baltimore School of Music over the last 3 years has been exceptional! My 8 year old daughter is talking piano with Ms Liz and drumming with Mr Braden. Both teachers are engaging, knowledgeable and go above and beyond!
Alba Miranda Azola

Our son loves his time each week with Ms. Ida at BSM. They started their journey with ukulele and have shifted to guitar at his request. As a 2e learner, he has found Ms. Ida’s approach to be welcoming, supportive, accepting, and responsive… and his curiosity about music continues to grow. While he has no interest in playing for me, he heads to and from lessons joyfully, and we enjoy listening from the waiting area as he builds confidence.
Stacy Bryan

I have 2 kids participating in BSM, and both are learning Piano, and I would like to testify that my kids are really learning how to play and read music. Their confidence is very high thanks to their teachers. My kids always look forward to attending their classes.

Pretty cool space. I actually went in there accidentally thinking it was the Peale but it turned out to be the Peabody. There’s a couple of awesome exhibits up, one in Ethel Ennis and another on Elizabeth Talford Scott. I contributed to their prompt wall for Scott. While I was there, I went to the guy at the desk at the back to get help finding something and he was super thorough about it. I will be back to check out more regarding the books and to see more of the Ethel’s exhibit and just in general. They have seats you can sit down at with your computer so.

I took classes here in the 90’s and never lost the love of it. After weeks of research for violin classes for my daughter I stumble upon a music shop in the Baltimore area not paying attention to the exact location. I booked a session. After getting close while driving, I noticed the location was familiar and as I walked in, it all came back. I was pleasantly surprised that even Jim was still there!!! Now 38, I was around 13, and to bring in my daughter now 13, the nostalgia of it all was perfect… Some time Good things and people last for generations ✨️

We LOVE the Music Workshop! Our son has been taking piano lessons there for 6 years and has worked with 4 of the instructors- each with their own unique qualities, and all very encouraging. Twice a year there are recitals, which include a vast array of musicians (ages 4 to 78) playing guitar, piano, drums, stringed instruments, voice and more. This neighborhood gem is worth every cent (and it’s comparatively inexpensive!).
Andy Mcneely

Our son has come really so far in a fairly short amount of time. Them studio is flexible with scheduling and super friendly and supportive. Teachers are great and work with all levels.
Megan Bovill

Sean and Jim are some of the most kindest people ever. I was able to learn from Sean very briefly, however I really appreciated his knowledge and experience! I learned so much about the history of the piano which really changed my perspective and connection with the piano. Looking forward to learning from him again in the future most certainly!
Antonae Jones

The instrument and voice lessons at Music Workshop are excellent. Incredible instructors who care and encourage their students. Friendly environment for all! I experience every week with my 2 grandchildren who take piano and drums.

I cannot express how much we love being part of the PPAM family. First, my 7 year old is Autistic/ADHD and we have tried manyyy teachers, but no one has connected with my son better than the instructors at PPAM. My son actually communicates and answers questions when in class with Mr. Ivan and is actively growing as a pianist and general learner. Let me be clear: our biggest struggle is with communication and Mr. Ivan has created his own bond and methods with my son. Mr. Ivan constantly demonstrates patience and love – I am exceptionally impressed and grateful. He does not allow my son’s struggles to define his abilities in class – this is all I ask for as a mom. Second, as a business professional, I also highly value the online class/business platform that reminds me of classes, directors who communicate frequently and in a timely manner, and a clean facility. Third, please note that we drive 30 minutes out of the way to attend classes at PPAM and I would make the trip multiple times a week if I had to – PPAM is worth it!
Every aspect of PPAM is professional and warm…you will not regret reaching out and starting today! Join us at the PPAM family!
Be Victorious Prep

Enrolling our toddler in music class was the best decision we’ve made. She has learned so much from Mrs. Gloria and loves to sing and dance. We can’t recommend PPAM enough. Now that we’ve relocated we don’t have access to a music class and really miss it.
Eva Valilis

We highly recommend PPAM! Our son enjoys his lessons here and in spite being a bit nervous at first his teacher put him at ease and makes the lessons fun and enjoyable. She is extremely patient with him and he’s improved each week with lessons. The owners, Josh and Erik, are very responsive and clear in their communication. The studio is clean and bright and a wonderful space for learning.
Kristen M. McQuillan

We had a wonderful time at the toddler classes Patterson Park Academy of Music. The teachers, program and management are excellent and professional. I highly recommend this place!
Anisa Rowhani-Farid

We’ve had such a wonderful experience. Our son is very energetic and sometimes he does not listen as well as he should, which can be challenging for instructors. However, he has thrived taking lessons at Patterson Park Academy of Music. Josh has created a genuine love of music for our son. We are so happy to have found this Baltimore gem!

My private lessons have been greatly enhanced by a recent experience in a three-part Inside Voice Intensive. It was an incredible voice, heart, and mind-opening game-changer. Seeing and hearing other people’s voices transform using the innovative techniques we learned was incredibly moving and illuminating. I learned as much by watching other people as I did by singing myself.

We simply love the community of Charm City Music School! Kennedy started on the uke a few years ago with Mr. Jake and with his patience and guidance has advanced to the electric guitar. I’ve seen her develop in skill and confidence as a result of the nurturing environment at Charm City Music. She has performed in the biannual concerts and I can see improvements each time! She was encouraged to join in chorus and is thriving! Thank you!

Our 7 year old grandson loves his guitar, drum, and band lessons at Charm City Music School! He is challenged and engaged during his lessons, and after each session, he says it was fun! He has developed a strong love of and dedication to music. He also seems well-connected to his peers at the school. Finally, he is inspired by his teacher, Jake, to meet new musical challenges.

We LOVE Music Together and specifically Miriam, the most wonderful music teacher! We started taking classes when our daughter was 9 months old and she’s now almost 3 1/2. We’ve enrolled in every session since we started! Miriam seamlessly transitioned to Zoom classes when the pandemic started, and as things have gotten safer, added the option of outdoor classes. We love the songs we get each session and sing them all the time. The app is a great resource to listen to current and past songs on the go. My husband and I are both musicians and we so appreciate that our daughter has been getting this wonderful exposure since she was so little! Miriam often talks about how kids may not necessarily participate the way we think they “should” during class but that they’re still absorbing everything. That’s definitely the case with our daughter. She often just observes during class but then we’ll hear her singing the songs in her room! I’ve recommended Music Together to so many friends and will continue to do so!
Amy Contevita

My granddaughter and I have been regular participants in Miriam's Music Together classes for over two years. We never miss a class! Miriam is an extraordinary music teacher who has captured my granddaughter's attention since she was six months old. Whether we met her through Zoom, outside in fall and spring, or inside (masked), Miriam did, and continues to do, a wonderful job engaging kids and their parents in this diverse and varied musical program. We love the songs and listen to every session in the car, and at home using the CD or App. I highly recommend Music Together with Miriam.

We love Music Together of Charm City and Miss Miriam is the absolute best!! We started taking our son when he was 9 months old and he'll be two this summer. This music class is just a joy and a delight! Miriam is a skilled teacher with an incredible knowledge of music and children's education. The class is incredibly fun, while also really engaging the children and providing them a musical foundation. It's incredible when you see it all start to click with your kiddo. I look forward to every class and each seasonal session which highlights a new instrument and songs. This music class is my happy place. We especially appreciate the COVID precautions she has taken; her classes are one of the only activities our toddler has consistently participated in over the past year. The classes are engaging and fun and we can listen to the songs from class on the app at home. Since beginning to attend these classes, he sings along and dances when he hears music. We have been going since my daughter was about 6 months old, she is now almost 3.5 and still absolutely loves going to music class. I can see that attending these classes has really fostered a love of music and singing and I am not sure that would have happened without these classes. I also have to say that we started attending class prior to COVID, and we continued doing it through COVID-first through Zoom, then outside 6 feet apart, and back again and throughout these past few years Ms. Miriam was always constantly working to make sure we could continue classes in a way where everyone felt safe and was always open to feedback in what parents were comfortable with and provided options for any and all requests. Music class was one of the few constants that we had throughout that time and I was so glad that she was so dedicated to making it work during a challenging time. The best music teacher I´ve ever had! As a teacher she is inspiring and encouraging. As a professional classical musician, Ms. Stockton has tremendous knowledge of the instrument. She also cares about her students and, from years of experience in teaching, knows how to communicate with her students and how to help them progress. She is also patient, and knows how to encourage and motivate her students at all levels, from beginner to advanced, to achieve their musical potential.
Paul Zavattero

Ms. Stockton has taught two of our children for eight years now. She is great with children and teenagers, very patient and full of stamina to make her classes enjoyable and instructive at the same time. She always pays a close attention to their technique and she has taught them everything they need to know about music theory. We are very happy with the high quality of our children’s musical education and we are grateful for the impact she has had over the years on their interest and enjoyment of classical music, thanks to her wonderful musical get-togethers, student performances at different venues and their attending some of the concerts she participates in with the major orchestras in the area. We are very lucky to have Ms. Stockton teach our children. She is an excellent performer and an inspiring, extremely generous and enthusiastic teacher.

Rachael is a passionate musician and a patient, dedicated, and skillful teacher. She seems to truly enjoy passing her love of music on to her students. I highly recommend her as a violin teacher for all ages!!!
